A real good site to go to is www.stanslist.com if you want to know what is happening around the North Shore area.
Thank you Stan.
Gloucester is a gold mine for musicians. I can testify to that. I have met and seen a lot of them. I wish that more people would get out and support our local talent. There are so many nights of the week that you cand find some awesome stuff going on. Go to www.stanslist and see. Explore and see what you like for your self. My favorite band is the Hoodoo Revelator if you have not already noticed that. Monday nights at the Rhumb Line is wild with an open jam session and I find it hard to believe one would not be able to connect with this music. It rocks. Dan King, Leo Sharamitaro and Joe Cardosa, head it up. Did I mention how wild Dan Kings is. I can't stay away. I am not crazy about the term bar hopping but you can do that in Gloucester and take in about four great bands in one night. I like to stay put for my most favorite ones.
I love fun and dancing to this is it!
When I was a teenager I loved Janis Joplin and still do. I was fortunate to find this video of her on youtube. I had photos of her just like the ones here but they were lost. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.

I have seen so many movies. I just love going to the movies or watching a dvd at home. Two of the most recent number one movies I have seen is Waitress and Once, these two movies are a must see. The nanny diaries, very good. One of the not to recent was Marie Antoinette. Nice clothes and shoes. Marie had a real hot affair, funny she did that after her husband paid some attention to her. It was kind of boring but at the same time interesting too. One before that was The Departed, man Jack Nickelson was awesome. I did not know it was filmed in Boston and to me that was wicked cool.
Television
Very rare to find me watching the tele but let me tell you if the Red Sox are on I am there! If I did feel like it, it would be House, American Idol and maybe a dance show.
About me:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a Nana, to the most sweetest boys that there are. You can see them in this profile.
I have two sons and a daughter inlaw, that I love with all my heart. I'm a Red Sox lover, Lets go Red Sox! Love a wide variety of music. Neil Young is on the top of the list. There is a hot band out there that really rocks to the blues and they are local, check them out www.hoodoorev.com. While your at it give these guys a go too. The Ten Foot Pole Cats right here on my page of friends. www.blindbilly.com, www.lisamarieworld.com
it's all about the blues. Hendrix was the blues. Janis Joplin, B.B King, Clapton, Susan Tedeschi( from Ma.) http://www.susantedeschi.com, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joe Bonamassa http://www.jbonamassa.com. I some times think I am possessed by the spirit of Howlin Wolf. I love his music so much. Jump and jive. Muddy Waters and so many more. Talking about rockin out. Some what more modern, Three doors down, Tonic( If you could only see)from "Lemmon Parade" and so many more. Oh, did I mention dancing to all these tunes. Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! There was a time that going to the movies once or twice a week was a priority but things have changed and work has replaced that. The one movie that sticks in my head is The Count of Monte Cristo, a remake of course and there are lots more to name. I love identifying birds. I had at one time, twelve of my own , five lovebirds and four cockatiels and three parakeets. All were taken in but one parakeet.I had lost a few birds in the past and that made me decide to give them to an owner who whould take care of them and love them as I did. Cockatiels, parakeets and lovebirds one was named Mango. Mango was the tamest lovebird. It broke my heart to lose him. I'm a people person. I guess that is why I am here.
Meet The New Hoodoo Revelator.
******************************************************
I saw these guys with the newest line up at The Pickled Onion in Beverly, Ma. What a wild time. They certainly exceeded my expectations for sure. Vocals, sound, projection and deliverance were high up there. Get up on the dance floor was all I could think of and dance we did. People were so into them. I know I had a blast and so did many others. I hope you can get out to see them sometime.
Moe Moriarty (Guitars), Jeff Fabrizio (Bass), Mike "Chipper" Chipperini (Harmonica), Bob Palumbo (Drums), Kevin Haney (Lead Vocals)
Who I'd like to meet: I would love to meet Neil Young. I have seen him in concert with Crazy Horse and he rocks. I wanted to get up on stage with him, because I could feel his soul and wanted to share it with him.
I have already met the Hoodoo Revelator. They rock like crazy. It's like hooking a plug into my vien and making me come alive. If you get the chance you should see them at one or all of their gigs. You will not regret it.
"The
Freedom To Rock" is about artistic freedom, in this case music. Where it's
fought for in a time when big business saw it as a lucrative product, thus
stunting the growth of creativity. A tale that is rewarding although
frustrating at times with big time dreamers and those not ready for change.
"Writing that rocks as hard as the music that's integral to the story." - Christine Ohlman
