Joey's trademark sound is the weaving of acoustic piano with synthesizers into stories beyond words. She is joined by friends on strings and percussion on "RIVER OF LIFE".... JASMINE KINNEY plays violin on various tracks; and GARTH WEBBER (who toured with Miles Davis) plays electric guitar on track 6 for a mystical arrangement of the ancient Irish melody "Be Thou My Vision".

During the year of 2004, Joey was hired by the Methodist Hospital at the TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER in Houston to perform on a weekly basis. Her recordings have been used in emergency rooms, intensive care units, birthing rooms, cancer therapy centers and similar environments.
Patients and Doctors describe her music as "healing".
