About me:

I am a novelist from Kentucky whose novels sell poorly in America but do well in Europe. My three novels, COMMONWEALTH, TORTURE THE ARTIST, and THE ANOMALIES have been published in twelve languages. What kind of books do I write? I suppose you could call them "literary comedies." Myspace Layouts Black and White Myspace Layouts..

I can no longer go to the Evansville Flea Market without saying "Hey guys, You think we'll see Blue Jean?"...

I've just read "The Anomalies". Even if I prefer "Torture the artist", I find it very funny, moving and so true: it reminds me my friends and their rock bands !
But I think I've a big problem with your books : I always read them too fast !
Keep on writing, you're very talented !

Finally, was able to finish Torture, Life got in the way of my reading list, but i finally got to it, and i would like to say, it is with out a doubt the greatest book i have ever read. Not of this year, or this decade, ever. And i don't generally go pushing egos but you are becoming my favorite author.  I still haven't been able to get my hands on Commonwealth but I've just gotten some long awaited owed money and it is first on my agenda.

I did have a question, Are you actually a Wrestling fan? In your General tab it says wrestling but i wasn't sure if it was a gimmick for your book. Also in Torture You tore apart a lot of "entertainment" venues but you mentioned WWE and it seemed to be the only thing you complimented in some way (or at least thats how i took it)  I'm not judging lol most wrestling fans are closest cases, but my grandpa got me into it when i was five and its been my on again off again guilty pleasure ever since.

Thank you for the add! I'm glad I had the chance to see you in Bucharest last week. I read both The Anomalies and Torture the Artist and they immediately became two of my favorite books. I wish I had the English editions too. Can't wait to read Commonwealth.

And I always thought that was a cliché. Okay. That's bitter. But don't hang you head! If you stop writing there will be no more books for me to adore!
  • May 19 2009 3:01 PM

But why? All my friends love to read your novels! And I always read your books twice, I start to read them again when I just finished one. What happened to the people???
