Born in Nykoping, Sweden where she was also raised , Johanna has been singing as long as she can remember and spent years performing wherever she could, starting in church, wowing everyone who heard her with her soulful, powerful vocals. With her huge voice and mysterious/quiet personality, people started getting curious and wanted to find out more about who she was.
At the age of fifteen she moved away from home to start her music career years in a music only High School, to persue her dream. With her classically trained voice she entered every event she could, just to be able to sing. It was Musicals to Acapella quartets. "And I loved every second of it."
Johanna graduated high school and a month after that she was on the plane to The United States by herself to be a nanny. Lucky kids, Lucky her, Lucky us!!!
After her year in Connecticut she did not want to leave. She moved to L.A summer of 2000 to attend Musicians Institute. Miss Boberg was now ready to start her career for real. Nowhere to live, no friends she took a major step of the edge, into her new life.
She graduated Musicians Institute in 2002 and won the award for Most Outstanding Vocal Student. That was her first Grammy moment, with her proud parents in the audience she gladly accepted the award and held a speech thanking everybody who helped her through it all. She then performed her hooky songs that later were sung in the school halls by other students.
However, since she has been here in Hollywood she has begun to explore the fullness of her niche. Because of her impeccable pitch and professional musicianship, Johanna 25 years old, has become a sought after studio vocalist around LA. performing even in Spanish with ease and creativity. Her voice was featured in the opening spoof for the 2001 Teen Choice Award- Moulin Huge.
Currently, she is writing and being professionally produced featuring her own original material! Her music style is best described as alternative laidback pop/rock/soul with pretty melodies and powerful vocals.
One opportunity is leading to another for this beautiful singer. Keep your eyes open for her. Our horizon is hot with her trail! VERY VERY LUCKY US!!!
