My favorite people to lead worship with are;
Scott Osborne, who keeps me in time,,,
Kurt Winrich, who NEVER forgets a song,,,
Chris Lizotte, who plays the best sounding "low tech" electric guitar setup ever,,,
Rick Kamrath, who always makes me laugh,,,
Marie Barnett, who worships God like nobody else I know,,,
Ryan Delmore, who always uses chords I can play,,,, and Glenn Pearce, who uses chords I didn't know existed
Just a sinner saved by grace. If not for the redeeming blood of Jesus, and His promise that of "all the Father has given to Him, He will lose none, but raise them up on the last day", I would have been shipwrecked long ago. Thanks be to God the Father, and His beloved Son, Jesus for saving and sustaining a life like mine !
From receiving my first guitar at 8 years old, to my first experience leading worship at a Campus Life meeting in High School, to being part of the Vineyard movement and Vineyard worship since 1983, God has blessed me to be part of something more wonderful than I had ever imagined. Like everyone else in life, I have struggled at times, but even in my failures, God has been faithful !!
I am eternally grateful for those people in my life who have helped me, stood by me, and put up with my madness. I have a great family, a wonderful wife, and some friends worth more than gold, like Ed Piorek, who with much patience led me to experience the Father’s love in my life, John Wimber, who taught me so much about worship and the kingdom of God, my buddies Rick Kamrath, Chris Lizotte, Kevin Short, Ryan Delmore, Glenn Pearce, Scott Osborne, Kurt Winrich, John Schreiner, Raymond MacDonald and a bunch of others. To any of you guys that might read this, I have one word for you....... "cheers" !!
These days I lead worship at a small Vineyard church, travel to other churches from time to time, read a lot, write and record a few songs and be a general nuisance to my wife around the house!
thanks, JB, it's nice to be missed. Just trying to stay alive down here, though things are a little better lately. Oz and I have both wondered if we all won't end up in Montana soon!
Hi John how are you? wow it's been so many years. I have been trying to find Marie for a long time. How is the Family doing? So I hear you guys live in Montana? I gave marie my email and phone number, to catch up. Well I hope you are all happy in Montana. Thanks for adding me on your friends list. Take care. Michelle Aboussie
Hey John. I think we sang 3 of your songs today in church! that's a pretty good percentage since we only sang 5! hope you're doing well. miss the heck out of you.
Thanks John,I remember buying The Basement Choir tape at the Vineyard bookstore many yrs.ago,I definitely was not disappointed.The song "Breath" was so awesome... as I remember it clocked in at almost 10 minutes,and had some cool guitar riffs not found on anyother verison!!That is my all time favorite worship song.Marie wrote it,and sang it best! GOD'S blessings apon your music ministry,your friend,Rob.
