Johnathon partnered up with long time friend Richard Chizmar of Cemetery Dance Publications and the pair formed their film production company Chesapeake Films - in which they have found success adapting novels into screenplays for the likes of Stephen King, Akiva Goldsman, SONY and MGM. Last year they also wrote the screenplay for the now classic The Washingtonians which is a fan favourite of Showtime's Masters of Horror Series - Season 2. They have also written two pieces for the NBC horror series "Fear Itself", Eater, which screened July 3, 2008 and The Circle which will appear at a date TBA.
