JOHN BALDWIN's BIO:
In 2009 John performed his music solo acoustic live on the Hampton Roads VA Fox news morning show "News at 7" (WVBT).
Winner of the Best Blues Artist award for PortFolio Weekly Magazine (Norfolk, VA).
Has opened up for Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Gary US Bonds, Rusted Root, Smokin' Joe Kubek, John Hammond & Delbert McClinton.
Performs 150-200 shows a year on East Coast, solo acoustic and full band.
Baldwin's music has appeared on the TV shows "American Idol" (fox), "Dateline" (nbc), "Crossing Jordan (nbc), "Engaged and underage" (mtv), and "Parental control" (mtv) as well as in the short film "Knocked down."
Finalizing his 2nd album, "Six String Slinger," featuring guests: Will Lee, Tommy Newsom (arr.), Bob Bain, Saundra Williams, Kellie Rucker, Dan CiPriano, Ivan Bodley, James Dower, Dennis Wage, B.J. Leiderman & others. Baldwin has released a 4-song EP version ahead of the release of the full album.
John received great local reviews for his first album "Wide alive and dreaming" in 2005
Is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA). Finishing up a Bachelor's degree in journalism at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA).
