J. Clifford, Photography's Interests
General
Travel. I've been to most countries except Egypt, Greece, and Africa, and spent a year living in Monte Carlo, and another in Paris. Traveled to every US state, and lived in NYC for a few years, but prefer California. I enjoy a good time out with friends at comedy clubs, bars, and movies.
Music
Everything but head-butting, heavy metal (except I like Metallica allot).
Movies
Sci-Fi, good dramas and comedies, but I skip the slasher stuff.
Television
Entourage, Weeds, most all on cable.
Books
Bio's and Sci-Fi. History, and some philosophy.
Heroes
Anyone who fights the status quo, and fights for the rights of the individual. Obviously, I'm NOT a Republican!
About me: Hi all,
I'm a photographer that has a 30 year track record successfully sending new models on to A&F, and many other Bruce Weber accounts. Some of my discoveries include, Jeff Aquilon (I found him in the pool at Pepperdine College before he went on to become Bruce Weber's first superstar). Ryan Daharsh, Chris Lancaster, Stephan Hoffman, Kody Corduan, Cal Hatcher, Cameron Marsh, Montana Volby, Ethan Hammond, etc. were all men I found and placed with agencies. You can also see more of my guys at Model Mayhem (Clifford's Men). LA MODELS, CLICK, and NOUS, and Wilshire Models agencies in Los Angeles, and MAJOR MODELS, in New York have all accepted men I've promoted and test shot, so if you are interested in a serious career, let me know. I can send references on request from agencies, models, and parents.
Who I'd like to meet: Any seriously minded, new, starting out male models, and especially those with acting ambitions. The market is too crowded with beautiful girls, so I leave that to others. I have personally managed, and financially promoted several successful new men, and I use the great LA acting teacher, Vincent Chase, as my favorite teacher for beginning guys. The HBO series, "Entourage" used Vince's name for the lead character as a sort-of in joke. There are A&F castings happening every few months, so just get in touch and I'll let you know if I'm interested in submitting you.
Take care, and watch out for the phonies, there are many. I have solid references from models, agencies, and parents.
Good luck to you all.
Hey man i love your work,i could use some help getting in the business if you could help give me some tips or put a word in for me that would be awesome
That's my youtube site...I have a ballet variation, couple cont. solos, cont. duet...The second one has me doing some classical partnering...hope that works...Let me know what you think :-)
hey bud, got your message. That's great... you'll have to tell me about it. It was good to catch up while i was in LA. I'll probably be in town again shortly.
Hey thanks for the advice on the photos. I'm gonna work on them. The agency got back to me today though and said they have to many people in my age category right now and that I should re-submit in 6 months...so i'll have to look around to find work somewhere else
Yeah, it gave me some good ideas on what i need to do. I also just got back from getting that new camera, ill have some pics for you in like an hour haha.
What up? I found this website and thought i'd tell everyone, it shows you if anyone at school likes you... I dont know how it works but its really cool, its revealed a few people who have had crushed on me FOREVER, i called the person up and it was TRUE!! You gotta try it!
Life has been crazy, mostly just working, havent booked anything since D&G, which is really irritating. I got signed by Innovative Artists for TV, film, and commercial... they are willing to let me develop and are a really well respected name in the industry, I just hope I prove myself worthy for them. how is everything in cali??? whats goin' on? any good news?
