Who I'd like to meet: Hot chicks from Ireland, Hot chicks that aren't from Ireland, Hot chicks in party hats, Hot chicks without hats, and anyone who loves being Irish as much as I do... oh yeah, and Christopher Walken...
pretty good i suppose. everyone is the same. chelsea and i got dinner together at state it was fun. haven't seen you forever. money is tight everywhere, it blows. what else is new?
Right on, good to hear it. I've been listening to the demo you gave me, and it sounds damn solid - I'll listen to it more and give you some detailed feedback, but I can't pick out a bad song on it... again, I'll get back to you on that.
Aye, what's the current situation with the Outback? I keep hearing that they're shuttin' down, but I haven't heard any concrete statements, just rumors. Any light you can shed on it?
You probably still have my old number. I live in Glenwood now and Im workin in the kitchen at Fatz, honestly i like my job as of now. lol. I hope all is well with u.
had a blast at the show saturday...thanks again man!!! I hope at least you and Clay liked the set. LOL. But yeah man, I really dig the new Crueligans song you guys played, it's slammin' :)
Later dude!!! lemme know when you get those pics developed from that day. We should hang out, drink and talk music more :)
The Guardian: "The Popes' excellent Outlaw Heaven album is what The Waterboys would have sounded like had Mike Scott sipped from the streams of whiskey."
Q Review: "Rouses like only the very best of Irish Folk can.."
Uncut: "It’s a chaotic, red-blooded mix of punk, rockabilly, Celtic and country, surging to ferocious peaks"
Clash Magazine - 8/10: "Watch the fireworks start flying again. This isn’t just an Irish party album with fire in its belly, it’s also the most warm, celebratory and downright mortal LP you’re likely to hear in 2009." 8/10
Daily Mirror: "The indestructible Shane MacGowan assists Paul McGuinness' crew on an album which is a rowdy blend of crude metal and broken-bottle folk rock"
Awesome!!! Yeah, me and Josh and Deathrock Dan all chilled one night and were plyin around with some stuff, so we'll see if anything comes of it :) It'd be cool if it did, altho Josh is a way better bass banger than I. LOL.
Cool cool, i def will :) Haven't seen much of the ol Svvas myself lately since he's always working and last couple times i've skipped out on The dawning and Umlaut. I'm just so tired of always seeing the same ppl and and hearing the same stuff. Like there's what, 30 or so years of goth and industrial music almost and yet I always hear the same five songs. it's almost as bad as radio. LOL
Nice. yeah man, it was funny. He broke 2 strings on what is probably the catchiest thing we ever wrote, so I listened back to it the other day and it was like this horrible gleeful butchering of a pop song, it was so rad. LOL. But i'm glad you liked. We should hang out sometime
MICK! Thanks so much for the awesome sound and the amazing lights. You have no idea how much it helped, considering we haven't performed there in a while and I was soooo sick. The lights distracted me so I was able to just perform. YOU ROCK...THANK YOU! ~Jen~
