John J. Cook was born and raised in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. He grew up in a musical family. His grandfather plays organ in the local church, influencing John’s appreciation for music. As well, his mother played the guitar and sang at family gatherings when he was just a child. John left home at an early age where his journey of life experiences began; stories and songs in the making.
As John realized his capabilities in songwriting, it allowed him to explore past experiences, thoughts of confusion and life’s realities, becoming a messenger of Hope, Peace, Love and Understanding. His music and soulful vocals charms all who listen.
John J. Cook has performed in over 60 venues and gatherings in Canada. He has amassed over 34 original song compositions, many of which he has performed live.
When asked what his biggest wish is John’s response is, “to one day play in front of an audience of thousands of people”.
