JOHN CORTEZ - GUITAR - I AM A HUGE JIMI HENDRIX AND STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN FAN. I FIRST PICKED UP THE GUITAR WHEN I WAS 16 OR SO AFTER HEARING TEXAS FLOOD(SRV)ON THE RADIO. I PLAYED ALL THE TIME UNTIL I WENT TO COLLEGE, WHERE I DABBED AT IT OFF AND ON. I THEN QUIT FOR 12 YEARS OR SO NEVER TOUCHING IT. I HAD SOLD ALL MY GEAR. I WAS REBORN IN 2005 AND BOUGHT A STRAT AT THE AGE OF 31 AND FINALLY STARTED RELEARNING TO PLAY AFTER QUITTING FOR 12 YEARS.
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, JIMI HENDRIX, LED ZEP, TEXAS BLUES ROCK ARE MY MAIN INFLUENCES. I AM STARTING TO ENJOY SLIDE GUITAR SUCH AS ROBERT JOHNSON AND MAY DABBLE IN TO SOME JAZZ - WES MONTGOMERY STYLE. I PRACTICE AS MUCH AS I CAN AND PLAY WHILE WATCHING TV. I LOVE TO PLAY AND PERFORM. I LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY GIG WE PLAY. I TRY TO PUT 1105 TO EVERY GIG NO MATTER WHAT SIZE THE VENUE. I ESPECIALLY LOVE IT WHEN THE CROWD IS INTO THE MUSIC. I LOVE SPEAKING WITH ALL THE PEOPLE THA COME OUT OT WATCH US PLAY. I LOVE ALL THE DIFFERENT MUSIC PEOPLE TALK ABOUT. I ENJOY IT WHEN SOMEONE ASK TO SIT IN. NO MATTER WHAT INSTRUMENT THEY MAY PLAY NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT IS ALWAYS FUN TO JAM WITH NEW MUSICIANS. I HOPE TO MAKE MUSIC A A PERMANENT FULL TIME THING AND ONE DAY NOT HAVE TO WORK. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A FULL TIME MUSICIAN. I'M MARRIED TO MY BEAUTIFUL, SUPPORTIVE WIFE IMELDA CORTEZ, WHO IS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY!! ..................

-----TOMMY ENGLE IS THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE BAND AND A GREAT ADDITION TO THE BAND. PLAYING BASS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AS A PROFESSIONAL AND TOURING ALL OVER WITH A VARIETY OF BLUES ARTIST TO ROCK TO METAL BANDS. TOMMYS HEART BELONGS TO THE BLUES AND IT CAN BE HEARD IN THE SOLID BASS LINES HE PLAYS. GREAT TO HAVE HIM IN THE BAND.
----- JOSH LEE, IS COMING OUT OF AUSTIN TX AND HAS BEEN PLAYING UP AND DOWN 6TH STREET WITH VARIOUS BANDS THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE. HE IS MAJORING IN MUSIC AND IS A SOLID DRUMMER WITH AN EXTENSIVE JAZZ AND BLUES BACKGORUND. GREAT ADDITION TO THE BAND. HE'LL BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY WHEN YOU SEE HIM PLAY JAZZ.
