John Coven is a composer, musician and producer with over 20 year experience, and from his studio, Epica Facilities, he conducts numerous projects in composing and producing (including Crypticum and Unio Mystica), giving him broad platform of creative freedom and artistic familiarity. Coven accepts commissions to write soundtracks to films and games, mainly in genres of Fantasy, Gothic, Horror and SF. Always on hot pursuit after haunting themes and chilling sounds, Coven’s music is full of contrasts and emotional depth. In the framework of epical symphonic music, Coven utilizes electronic sounds and incorporates a wide range of styles of music onto his compositions. Few composers possess the versatility similar to John Coven in such a powerful and convincing approach. John Coven has an education in sound-engineering which enables him to stay in control of his (and others) compositions throughout the recording and mixing stage of the music production. On stage he performs synthesizers (including with the Doom Metal band Funeral) and is a gifted guitarist as well.
