The band was formed as a result of John Cullimore ( previous band ‘Under the Knife’2002/3) meeting Nick Weaver at an acoustic gig in the Great Western pub in Swindon in 2004. They subsequently did some acoustic duet gigs as a result. Subsequently , they got together with Doug Coulson (former bands include Stacy, Off the Cuff ,Utopia ,Celebration, Stone Cold ) . Nick Weaver introduced Kevin to the band , and the first gig was a charity dinner dance at the Alexandra House Hotel in Wroughton, where the band played so loudly they tripped out the power supply to the stage and dance floor, leading to one of the most memorable drum solos carried off by Doug until the electricity was restored 6 minutes later! Suzy came to the band in early 2007 (former bands Snowblind, Higher Ground , Sharkbite ) and Terry followed in mid 2007 (former bands Hang Fire, East to West, After Hours, Cats Eyes)
Shades of Suzy is the bands first CD , but previous recording experience is plentiful amongst the band members. Notably , in Under the Knife , John released 2 EPs (‘Railway Town’ 2002 and ‘Smooth Operators’ 2004 and through local and regional radio and TV promotion, raised over £9,000 for good causes . As a result of this he played live on Radio Swindon in 2006, and after the bands first recording studio experience with Peter Lamb in Devizes, they were invited onto Sandy Martin’s weekend radio show (April 2007) for a 30 minute interview and 2 tracks from their album were played in full. As well as an Internet album there is a Youtube video of the band singing ‘Ashamed’
The band are now in demand in South West England for both public and private gigs , and have been invited back to clubs in Swindon after recently successful shows.
