   About John Dunbar
John Dunbar was the leader of the band A Confederacy Of Dunces who released the critically acclaimed discs Tsk Tsk TSk and Dunces With Wolves. Since the demise of the band John has put 3 solo discs ( The Man Who Never Learns, New & Interesting Developements In Uselessness and last year's The Moment You"ve Not Been Waiting For). Between those releases he wrote every song for the short lived band IFFY on the disc Close Calls With Happiness. He was the composer for the musical The Last Hand Laundry In Chinatown, a collaboration with playwright Alvin Eng that is featured in the anthology Tokens from Temple University Press. John has just completed recording 2 new exciting CDs that are soon to be released. One is called Excursions In Trevorland that features 11 songs based on short stories by the master author William Trevor. And a Rutles version of The Kinks, that was called The Konks until learning of another band with the same name. What critics have said about John's work "A talented multi-instrumentalist whose songwriting is meaningful and assured with catchy tunes and well-drawn portraits," Ira Robbins Trouser Press Record Guide "An excellent songwriter with a very orginal approach, which is rare," Paul Zollo, author of Songwriters on Songwriters "Finessed, masterfully understated and melodically rich, "- CMJ

Hey guys,

I'm hitting the road in a couple of weeks to raise money for War Child,
Coast-to-coast – 50 cities – ALL PROCEEDS TO WARCHILD. Why? 66% of all
war victims are CHILDREN. Shocked like me? War Child helps these
children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the
whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.

You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.

http://www.liamtitcomb.com/warchild/

I've also got this “widget” for a FREE download of 5
songs. Please send it on to your peeps – to help raise awareness of War
Child and the tour.

You can also embed this widget in your facebook, myspace etc. I’d really appreciate that.

We have permission from Sony ATV publishing to give the songs away from now till the end of the tour... So let’s work it.

Thanks,

-Liam

As my fervent admirers can attest to, Mustafio when crossed can be as rough and rugged as my physique. With that, I take relaxation in swimming, sailing, softball, football, tennis, golf, reading and the nightly movie. Recently I was induced to put on a fashion show of my latest purchases for my personal merriment.

YO John Dunbar!!

Sorry for the mass comment but I just want to fill you in!

I've got a new record coming out!! I've been working on "Can't Let Go" for a long time and it's gonna be in stores in Canada on June the 5th so check it out! The single "11:30" was sent to radio last week so keep an ear out and request it. Hear it and a few other new tracks on my profile... "Can't Let Go" is available NOW on CD Baby.com and through iTunes soon.

I'll be having a CD release party on the 16th of June at the El Mocambo in Toronto. I'll have the full band and we'll be playing the new record live. Also, my good friend Mike Evin will be opening. Come down and join my party!!

Thanks again people, peace and love.

After last night's lecture, someone commented to me that I must be an army brat because I had such fantastic teeth. Such teeth, he said, could only be the result of good breeding and access to the finest dental care. I explained that though I descend from a long line of Bulgarian nobility, when I was a boy people were still having infected teeth removed by a donkey tied to a rope. Happenstance, I explained to him, is the main reason behind Mustafio's distinguished countenance.

Mustafio has a voice that had I taken care of it was potentially solo quality. I've abused it horribly traveling between my air conditioned home, and because of that I won't ever be quite as good as I could have been.
