(Fall 2008)
Dark Discoveries #10 features both an interview with me and a short story -- "Star on the Beach."

I was a music critic for more than 20 years (see www.popstops.net) and so I like a variety of bands. My longtime favorites, however, are The Cure, New Order, Tori Amos, Tanya Donelly, Delerium, Green Day and many more. I also have written music and played with a few bands over the years. I've posted an instrumental song I wrote for Martin Mundt's stage play "The Jackie Sexknife Show" as the background music for this page.
I'm a horror novelist and short story writer from Chicago. My first novel Covenant, won the Bram Stoker Award, and its sequel Sacrifice, came out in paperback from Leisure Books in April 2009. My third novel, The 13th was released at the end of October 2009 and is now in stores everywhere!
My latest short story collection, Needles & Sins, was released at the end of 2007 by Necro Publications. Read a free story from the book here: "Needles & Sins".
Since 1993, I've published nearly 100 short stories of horror dark fantasy and dark SF in magazines like Black October, Grue, Dead of Night and Wicked Karnival as
well as in the anthologies like Horror Library Vol. 3, A Dark & Deadly Valley, Kolchak: The Night Stalker Casebook, Cold Flesh and more.
You can also find many of my small press books on Amazon.com (just search for John Everson).

I'm going to order a copy of 13TH! Looks great and a must have horror novel. I'ma get you to autograph it for me one day. Take care and much success on your future novels.
Hi John, hope all is well. I just finished The 13th. I think it's your best one yet! You are really giving Jack Ketchum a run for the money for the title of "Scariest Guy in America". If any of you haven't yet, READ THIS BOOK! Angela
If you get a chance....swing by my weekly horror column and comment. Right now under the comments we are discussing which Corey we like better. Haim or Feldman and how we feel about Haim joining another Lost Boys film. http://www.horrornews.net/Horror_Gossip/html/21.html
I bought your new book at the Zombie Con in Milwaukee and I am just finishing up The Midnight Tour (yes, the third book in the Beast House series!) and then I will start reading yours. I'll let you know what I think! The reviews are excellent, so I am really looking forward to it!
