He is originally from the Southern California town of Covina. He spent many years as a drummer playing for many original alternative pop rock acts in the late 70's to mid 80's. His musical path took a detour through the many temptations of Las Vegas, Nv. . Without a musical vein to keep his heart pumping he fell into a spiral of dark desperation.
Claire, the guitar, made her way into his hands and sparked a songwriting path. Not knowing if music was still the passion that fueled his youth he took to the stage of Jacks Irish pub to play his tunes. His reception was an overwhelming success. It spawned many associations of songwriters and singers trying their gifts in front of open mic audiences.
John played in many local venues. The Harley Davidson Cafe , on the strip. The palms lounge, Fremont Street Experience and now showcasing his songs in San Diego, Los Angeles and his new East Tour from South Carolina back to the west.
His new association with Jason Rossi has led to his debut disc " Getting over These Things". John thanks many local artist for their support and their participation in his c.d.s making. Phil Lewis, Kevin Kennedy, Debbie Stewart, Joe Wozniak, Jennifer Hansen and last but not least Jason Rossi are main contributors to the spirit and love of the disc.
