JOHN FUZEK (rhymes with music) has been performing his own style of
music, either solo or as part of a duo, around the Northeast and various points of the US for many years. He began by performing the typical “cover-song/bar-gigs” but soon moved up to performing only his own original music. In 1989, he teamed up with Mary Ann Rossoni and formed the duo Fuzek•Rossoni. The duo quickly gained a large following and garnered quite a bit of success in the seven years they performed together. During what was supposed to be a “short hiatus” from performing, John produced the Hear In Rhode Island Festival for many years, showcases and workshops for the Rhode Island Songwriters Association (www.risongwriters.com), worked with other festivals, helped produce a few CDs by other artists, hung out with his dogs; and yes, even wrote and recorded songs for a couple of compilation CDs. John Fuzek is now back and performing as a solo act. His first solo, full length CD, “A Dog’s Age”, was released in May 2004. Recorded in March 2004, it is a collection of songs that reflect John’s passions, experiences and concerns. “A Dog’s Age”, was chosen by the Providence Phoenix as one of the BEST
ACOUSTIC CDs in RI of 2004. John is currently working on his second solo
CD and it should be released sometime in late 2005.
John Fuzek twice won the honored Best Male Vocalist category in the
Providence Phoenix (RI’s Largest Entertainment Weekly) Best Music Poll.
Fuzek•Rossoni captured the Best New Local Act, Best CD/Tape and Best
Song Categories. In September 2003, John was named one of RI’s “Most
Influential People in the Arts” by the Providence Phoenix. “A Dog’s Age”, was
chosen by the Providence Phoenix as one of the BEST ACOUSTIC CDs in RI of 2004. In 2005 he was nominated in the Best Folk Act category of the
Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll. Currently, in addition to performing, John is a columnist for the Providence, RI based entertainment magazine/newspaper, "Motif". For more information, check out John's website at www.johnfuzek.com JOHN FUZEK IS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE NEIL YOUNG TRIBUTE BAND, "FOREVER YOUNG"-see the link below in my friends...
THE BELOW VIDEO: Recorded live, impromptu at PM Recording in Wakefield, RI on January 26th 2009 by Josie Crosby. This song was written in June of 2008 and was inspired by a comment George Carlin made about George W. Bush. Carlin said that Bush should be made to walk home when he leaves office. John Fuzek and Ed McGuirl took this line and wrote the song. As 2008 went on, a few of the original lines were updated. The "throwing shoes" line is just an example. For more info about the artist go to www.johnfuzek.com or www.edmcguirl.com

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
