Hope 2009 is shaping up nicely for you. I am bringing out a new concept poetry album for charity. Please see below for an overview.
The House…
“The House…” is not just a collection of poems but rather an epic audio experience. It is a fusion of poetry and drama within an overriding concept that develops throughout. There are verses of rhythm and rhyme with variation in tone, pitch and indeed voice. It blends humour with humanity, accessible to the layman but with sparks of intelligence shining through.
The drama tells the story of a house view but this is no ordinary house and no ordinary landlord. As the tour progresses the unnamed man has to come to terms with a property that is a long way from how he perceived it with some disconcerting surprises. The question of whether he should move in proves to have much bigger implications that he initially thought. It features the talents of two professional actors David Zezulka and Nick’s younger brother Geoffrey Card (who generously gave their services for free) to bring the words to life.
The CD costs just £5, a bargain for these days of the credit crunch. But be rest assured the profits are not going to Nick’s back pocket for him to blow on booze and loose women. No sir, it will be given to the humanitarian charity “Amnesty International” to fund all the work they do for human rights! So a good CD for a good cause for the cash equivalent of two pints of lager and a packet of crisps!
Release Date – Friday 30th January.
If that sounds appealing then please get in touch.
All the best Nick
PS John, do you still remember Luton whilst swallowing your crouton?
Thanks for the add. Big fan, have been for along time now. When I was a teenager I learnt the poem 'Pat' off by heart to wow people with at parties. Still remember every line and still waiting to be invited to a party. Keep in touch Rob Barker
