THE NEW ALBUM FROM JOHN HERDT & WALLY Z!
Our new album titled Shadow Fades Away is currently available for download from the DigStation download store. Two complete free sample tracks are available on The Rampant Zone.

Shadow Fades Away is also currently being manufactured by Disc Makers and will be available as a physical CD-R from CD Baby near the middle of June, and thereafter from iTunes and other download retailers as well as DigStation.

The album has 14 tracks, and is mostly instrumental except for three tracks with Wally Z on vocals with typically excellent lyrics by Lee Zielonka, including the rocking Rock Dust and the funky Mr. Marshall. We have a new MySpace page at www.myspace.com/johnherdtwallyz.

Wild Dogs Acoustic: In 2004 I was trying out a new Taylor guitar I had just bought, and I laid down the rhythm track and then grabbed my Ovation acoustic and overdubbed some slide and soloing. It was totally off the cuff but had kind of a cool vibe and was a different approach to this great Tommy Bolin song.

I have been the webmaster and a CD producer for the Tommy Bolin Archives since 2002, and have produced a number of CDs of my own material as well as mastering audio on projects for others.
