About John Hurt

Some dumbass got the mississippi john hurt myspace address and has one of the greatest country blues players of all time as a jewish-bi-sexual-crack addict. The music of John Hurt is sacred ground to me so I'll make it my mission to make a good page for the late great bluesman. I'm busy so give me a little time to put something together. But for starters... It is a safe bet to say that John Hurt a.k.a Mississippi John Hurt has influenced countless numbers of blues and folk musicians with his seemingly simple and sublime style of fingerpicking. Originally releasing several sides early in his life, he slipped off the radar screen for several decades and was "rediscovered" in the 60's. During the blues and folk revival Hurt toured and performed at many festivals in his later years. If you Google his name you will find many recordings and articles. I'll add some links in time. As for songs. I don't have the rights to stream any of Hurt's stuff on the internet. I know no one seems to care about this on myspace but it's not legit. Plenty of places to get his stuff, just look around. UPDATE: My Space pulled the other site I reffered to. Go check out www.msjohnhurtmuseum.com Lots of cool stuff there.
