About Maite Itoiz & John Kelly ELFENTHAL, TOUR 2010!!
Maite Itoiz and John Kelly" is right now one of the underground alternative bands with most sales of the country. From zero, by themselves, they remained in the German top 100 charts for many weeks, selling a very big amount of CDs of their album "Tales from the Secret Forest" and reaching the number 1 in several online shops charts, like Amazon. Nowadays that's a big achievement, especially for a band playing Neoclassic, Celtic-Rock, fantasy and Early music, so-called "non commercial" music...
Maite is the producer of the band. With two complete classical careers under her belt (classical guitar and lyric singing) and years performing as an opera singer with some of the most important singers of the world together with her very open mind for all types of music make her compositions and arrangements sound big and magic. As a consequence, she spends a lot of time at the studio, producing also for various other artists.
Due to her studies and vocal experience performing in Early Music ensembles, she fearlessly inserts music starting from the 12th century in the live show, following the original scores and making the people clap and dance with it, as it is certainly a rock band which is playing on stage. Surprisingly, Codex Calixtinus, Llibre Vermell, Alfonso X, Juan del Enzina, fit perfectly with the rest of the Celtic-rock and fantasy music program, making from it a unique act. On the other hand, their other formation, "ELFENTHAL" brings this early music on stage in a more pure format, with specialized voices and instruments of those times.
After 30 years of musical career, John has sold over 20 million albums and 2.5 million music videos. Now he adds his warm voice and charming look to the fantasy show. He performed together with artists like Lionel Richie, Pavarotti, Carreras, Joe Cocker or Elton John and got awards like the Echo, Goldene Kamera, Bambi, golden Otto, etc. Now he gives his knowledge of so many years to the show, managing it himself.
Additionally, the visually attractive concept of the show, with self-designed costumes, choreographies, the fairy tale that joins the whole show and the surprises with the radical music style changes make the audience be in tension till the end of the show, when the "Solstice's night dance" breaks the barriers between both worlds, joining humans and fairies in dance on stage.

Ich melde mich mal heil und gesund vom Faun-Konzert zurück mitsamt Limited Edition der CD "Buch der Balladen" - es war die letzte die zu haben war *grins* in weiser Voraussicht war ich VOR dem Konzert *freu* Noten und Gitarrenakkorde (die sogar für Normalsterbliche zu spielen sind *entzückt*) sind dabei und Erklärungen, das ist ur geil! Fotos hab ich auch gemacht, die kommen sobald ich am Laptop die Digicam-Treiber installiert hab. Wer Faun ncoh nciht gesehen hat, sollte es tun, die sind genial! Sie haben auch Lieder gesungen auf die ich gehofft habe, wie Tinta und Ne Aludj El! :D Allein war ich auch nicht, ein Kollege ausm Büro war mit und vor Ort hab ich dann noch nen Tanzkollegen getroffen, der ganz verblüfft war, und eine alte Studienkollegin aus der Mittelalterszene. Kuhle Sache!
@Regina: da hast du allerdings recht ^_^ es ist keine Mühe auch wenn es für manchen der lieber 100 Bildchen postet scheinbar eine ist. :D ganz pöhse du haha!

@Irish - danke für's erinnern! Gestern Früh war die Abstimmliste bei Aena noch nicht online. Jetzt bin ich natürlich gleich deiner Bitte gefolgt und habe für unsere "Fairy" abgestimmt - wo ich doch jetzt 4 Zeilen mitsingen kann. ;)
Ich gehe heute mit Kuscheldecke zur Arbeit, damit ich mich nicht überanstrenge - und heilende Meditationsmusik ist auch dabei.
Allen Waldbewohnern viel Vergnügen bei den letzten Vorbereitungen für den 1. Advent. Auf Aena gibt es Sonntag Nachmittag um 17 Uhr übrigens mittelalterliche Weihnachtsmusik - nicht nur besinnlich!

@Maite: on the way home I had a funny experience related to you: I usually give a lift to 2-3 dance colleagues living in my "barrio" and today I had your CD "Blue Elf's Dream" on low volume in the car hi-fi. After a while, one collague says, "Well, you know that singer whose CD you're playing, she's got a voice like Tarja Turunen." me, "what?!" he repeats what he said and if I didn't have to drive I'd have ogled him, laughing, I told him, "well, she ain't Tarja Turunen, but you're close enough. She's opera-trained, a soprano, and well, I always thought they have similar vocal power. But no, that's not Tarja, but Maite Itoiz from the other end of Europe!!" perhaps it's situational amusement here, but the stare I got after that remark made me grin from ear to ear. After that, he was quite silent ;) strange thing, though, people usually are quite silent when I tell them that no, on that CD, that's NOT Tarja or Anna Netrebko or anyone else for that mtter, but you. Over here, you're pretty unknown, it seems... ;) perhaps that changes with Elfenthal *hopeful*
hai...ich kriech nochmal vorbei post Tanztraining. ;) wieder einen neuen Teil der Choreo gelernt, der natürlich mal im Chaos versunken ist *haha* und plötzlich wieder Hardshoes - äh wie ging der Schritt noch mal? Ursula auf Hochtouren *lol* Die fliegt übrigens morgen mit Kind und Kegeln nach Bremen auf die Oireachtas (WM-Qualifikation und Féis).
@all: kennt wer die Gruppe "Visions of Atlantis"? Die warn im Sommer Vorgruppe zu Tarja Turunen und sind echt gut. Hab jetzt die CD bekommen und die Sängerin hat auch Opernausbildung und ist recht gut unterwegs. Witzigerweise stammen die von hier, aus Wien *freu*

@Sarah: das Leben kann hart sein - aber besser Schweigen jetzt als kaputte Stimmbänder später. Aber du, es geht rum, bei mir im Umkreis sind lauter Leut krank mit Fieber und allen Zuständen. Bist wenigstens krankgeschrieben?
Ich lasse mal wieder einen lieben Gruß an alle da, nachdem mein Husten, den ich nun seit fast zwei Wochen habe, nicht besser wird, musste ich gestern zum Arzt - meine Kollegen zwangen mich, nachdem ich nicht auf meine Eltern gehört habe - ich habe eine Stimmbandentzündung! :( D. h. kein Räuspern und beim Sprechen kommt fast nur Krächzen... am besten den Mund halten und das bei mir! *heul*
