Interests

  • General

For recreation, I play walleyball, walk with my dogs, play music, dabble on the computer, and feed the birds.
  • Music

Sixties and early seventies rock. Folk music. Country when it's good ballads. Like Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan, Linda Ronstadt, Simon & Garfunkel, the non-disco BeeGees, the Moody Blues, Joe Cocker, Hello People, It's a Beautiful Day, Crosby Stills & Nash, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Emmy Lou Harris, Sheena Easton, Bette Midler, U2 early days, Kitaro, Gaylord Deuter, lots of others. My favorite song of all time is Brown Eyed Girl. Somehow I just can't be sad when I hear that song.
  • Movies

Favorites: Amadeus, Star Wars original trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Dirty Dancing. Anything with a good story, great direction, and wonderful acting.
  • Television

I favor drama over comedies. Hate reality shows and won't watch them, except for this year's American Idol. Wonderful final 8. Some great performances. Favorites: Hill Street Blues, West Wing first season, Alias first season, Dark Angel first season, Shogan, Rome, Star Trek (all variations), Laugh-In, Geeks and Freaks. Will think of more and add later.
  • Books

Henry David Thoreau's Walden, Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, Ralph Waldo Emerson's Essays, all sorts of mysteries, science fiction and fantasy, especially The World of Time series, The Science of Being and Art of Living, The Prayer of Jabez, etc.

About me:

I am the author and publisher of many books including 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, The Complete Direct Marketing Sourcebook, High Impact Marketing on a Low Impact Budget, Celebrate Today, Tinseltowns U.S.A., Turntable Illusions, and the Do-It-Yourself Book Publicity Kit. I often speak on book marketing, book publishing, writing, branding, and book and website rights. For recreation, I play walleyball, walk with my dogs, play music, dabble on the computer, and feed the birds. I like rock, folk, country, good pop. Not into rap. I have just recently begun offering MBAs in marketing novels, Internet book marketing, and special sales.

Who I'd like to meet:

Bruce Springsteen. It's always been one of my desires to be on stage with Bruce at a big concert, just to feel the energy of being on stage. I'd also like to play walleyball with President Bush, if he still plays. Also wouldn't mind being on stage with Faith Hill, Jessica Simpson, Shania Twain, Carrie Underhill, Destiny's Child, or any other solo or group of beautiful women.
