Hi, I am John. I'm a musician from Texas, specifically Dallas these magical days. I write songs, try to sing them, and play them for people as often as I can, usually without them getting mad. I play guitar and keys in another band as well, Dashboard Confessional. We are friends, we travel, and play songs alot. When we are not together, I record records of my own. The latest, "Better By Design," was released by me in June '09, I believe. People have referred to it as, "powerpop,' which is fine with me. I love bands like Jellyfish, XTC, Crowded House, and, of course, The Beatles. I think "Ram" is my favourite Paul McCartney record - which is how I wish I would sound (and sing). Mr. Lefler, I sure hope that it works out that you play Salt Lake on one of the off days from the DC tour. I bought my tickets for DC last nite, but what a wonderful time it would be to get to see your solo show as well!! Any ideas which venue you'd be playing in Salt Lake?
