the idea for this project came about through being constantly asked the question will the chameleons ever reform,
and new fans of the band saying they wished they'd got a chance to see the band live. but due to the bands politics
i knew this would never happen.so i decided to do something about it, so with my new band we started rehearsing the
songs for this project, we are now at the stage where we feel we are ready to play this set live so on the 19th of september
we will play live at manchester academy, we will perform a full chameleons set comprising songs from the bands three
studio albums from 82-87 we will also have some visuals on stage relating to the bands early career.
hope you can all make it to this event cheers john lever.for info about john levers secondskin or bushart contact tony skinkis.
Luxury Stranger are appearing at The Dry Bar, Manchester, this Saturday 28th Nov, doors at 8pm, entry is FREE!
"Influenced by the sounds of post-punk / new wave from 1978 - 1984. Imagine: Bowie and Pop's Berlin years mixed with the disparate sound of Joy Division and early Cure with the melodies and power of The Chameleons - this is Luxury Stranger. Currently promoting their debut album, 'Desolation', the band is also writing material for the second album, some of which finds its way into the live set."

Cracking show on Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, best fun I've had in a long time. I was in the mosh pit for a good half of it, then I was knackered (started to feel my age!)
THANKX for last night john it was a great night mate & the house was well rocked. hope things are cool as last night was ! some brilliant photos from peter , had a top night much respect to you, bushart, & MB. cheers meaty.
John, being that I am a guitarist and songwriter that has played in my share of bands, I have always thought drummers for the most part to be unimportant in the songwriting and creative process. You have shattered that thought pattern of mine into a million pieces. I am now and always have been a huge admirer of your talent and unique style and sound which is pretty much unparalleled in modern music...........Which leads me to a drummer joke...
