John hates a lot of people but definitely not the people that come to his shows. Those people are peachy keen. One of the groups of people that John hates is people that use the phrase "peachy keen". Another one is tollbooth operators.
Sometimes John pulls himself away from his XBox to write things that he refers to as "jokes" or "bits". By "sometimes", we mean that for every hour that he spends playing XBox, John spends 7 minutes writing material. All this has translated into a fledgling comedy career and a killer Gamer Profile on XBox Live. According to John, his "Game Achievements" are "dope" and "rad".

TV Shows
Iowa City Public Access Telethon personality... that's right, I kick some ass...
John Lewis's Interests
General
Stand-up comedy... 80's music (but not the kind with any redeeming value)... not growing up... my XM radio almost never leaves 202 The Virus for Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez...
Music
Huey Lewis is my hero... The Subways, Weezer, The Shins, Amos Lee, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, anything else considered to be "80's crap"...
Movies
Best movie I've seen recently is The Departed... Plus, I will see any Superman or Batman flick regardless of whether it's crap or not... After all, I used to wear underwear with their names on it... (and by "used to" I mean last Wednesday)
Television
The first few weeks of American Idol are rad as hell... Heroes is my new favorite show... Grey's Anatomy, Las Vegas, 30 Rock, The Office...
Books
Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, a few Dean Koontz (can't believe I admit to that), anything by Denis Johnson.
I talk a lot about bridges. I talk a lot about how the Golden Gate Bridge and the George Washington Bridge have kind of a East Coast/West Coast feud going on because the GGB banged the Brooklyn Bridge while the Brooklyn Bridge was supposedly engaged to the GWB. It's a really messy situation and it should be taken care of before it gets worse... I really don't talk about bridges. At all. I just like when civil engineers come to my shows and are like "What? This guy doesn't talk about bridges at all! Screw this guy!" (and I never say the word "screw" either... just trying to keep this clean)
Who I'd like to meet: Same thing as when I was 8 yrs old - someone with cooler toys than me.
If not that, then Huey Lewis (not necessarily the News but if they're around then they can come too), Kevin Bacon (circa Footloose), and Winnie from The Wonder Years (not now, but if we could go back in time to when I had a crush and she was hot, then that would be nice).
Speaking of back in time, if anyone can build a flux capacitor, then I'd love to meet you.
U ain't kick the bucket yet? I mean tie the knot? And you need to close that swing that picture. You know, more of a follow thru motion... GET THE MLB 2K9! And that was your daily "negroscope."

Next Sat the 21st should we do the whole get together couple thing. Obviously I'll have to bring two women though. It's a proven statistic that only 50% of women feel that "cunt" is an exceptable pet name.

This is a killer comedy show! A show doesn't come to town like this very often so come support this wonderful night of comedy. Please spread the word and I'll see you there! (I even think Flight of The Concord will sneak by since they are all such close friends and they are in town for an early show downtown!)
