Jesus Christ beyond anything in this life!
My wife, Kimmi, our kids, and my family are a huge influence with everything I do, but as far as music...Michael English, Larnel Harris, Steve Green, The Imperials and The Gaither Vocal Bands Harmony, David Phelps, Matthew Ward, Marshall Hall, Jason Morales, what a great Baritone! I love all styles and listen to just about anything good as long as it relates to Jesus Christ... after all, God gave this gift to me to use for His glory...and He is my Biggest Influence! Thank you Jesus Christ for everything!:)
My name is John Justin McCall; I am a person just like you. I am no better than the person reading this or listening to this being read. I am a husband, a father of 5 beautiful children, and a vocalist for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope someday, that I will be able to meet you and become your friend and someone you can look to as a role model in your life. I can assure you that if you’ve “been there”, I have “bought the T-Shirt” a few times and I’m sure we will get along just fine.
I would just like to say to you today, let no one destroy your dreams, hope, faith, and love that you have in your lives for The Maker, The Master, and Great I am. Give it all time and let Him work out all of your situations…everything! I have so much to be thankful for and I am sure you have had many things in your life, if not just one, that you are very thankful for. I have many, many things to Praise God for and I doubt that I could list them all on a sheet of paper. I also have had many things that have gave me the opportunity to become closer to God, not by choice at the time, but because of my lack of intellectual and private time that I needed to give to Him.
I was pronounced DOA from a motorcycle accident in 1989, and my parents were told that if I came out of the coma, because I had no brain waves and was dead for almost an hour, that I would NEVER walk, talk, write, sing, etc…ever again. I was just 17 then, in a secular rock band, and living life for all the wrong reasons. That is when my life turned around and I pray it never has to get to that point for you.
You see, it is not what we do or how we do it, it is why we do it. If it is for the wrong reasons or self gain in popularity or recognition, it will never be blessed…even if it were a great deed. How we do what we set out to accomplish should always be as if it were Jesus Christ. We are to be like Him according to His Word. Jesus said we will be able to accomplish more the He ever could. Think about that for a moment… “More then He could”. Wow! That is a strong statement. So what are we doing, and more importantly, what are you doing to make that statement from the Son of Man who died on the cross for you… true?
In today’s World, people are so worried about “Global Warming”…what about The “Christian Cooling” cycle that has hit our Nation worse then 9/11 ever thought of being? Get focused and quit “Playing Church” and get involved in everything you can. Set an example and bring back God to the center of your community one person at a time!
I hope you enjoy the music that I have chosen here on MySpace, to open your heart, your mind, your body and your soul. I pray that you will do everything in your will, to do what is ever so needed in the World we live in today, to glorify your Creator, which gave you life and free will to choose who you will serve. I also pray that you turn your eyes on Jesus, not man, for all of your needs and let the Holy Spirit guide you in your walk with Christ as His Disciples to your community. He never said to go out and become a preacher! I am a horrible speaker, but the talents God has gave me a tenor voice to sing His Praise to His children, and my ability to write…as I am doing now. You have talent too! Search your heart and ask God to use you to glorify His Kingdom. Make time to be a giver, a care taker, a teacher, a preacher, a Christian based childcare provider, and whatever it is, ask to make you the servant we are to be…in His Glorious Name!

John J. McCall was born on January 24th, 1972 in Columbus Ohio and was raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He has been singing since the age of four, started harmonizing by the age of six, and with a blend that is second to none. Being around the Church choir most of his life was a big help in his music and a good foundation to start, for what has become a powerful and distinct vocal to include him among top vocalist in the world from various genre's. Throughout John’s childhood he has won numerous awards for his talent, until an almost tragic accident stopped him dead in his tracks at just the age of 17.
In 1989, John was singing secular music, against his mother’s requests, with one of Chicago’s top Rock bands at the time, SlyFoXX, as the lead singer / co-owner. Little did He know that everything he had worked for, and built, would come to an end one cold October night… A drunk 16 year old driver pulled out in front of John while hi was on his motorcycle, and stopped while she was making a left turn at an intersection. The results were very tragic at the time. John not only hit the driver, but while flying through the air was clipped by a cube truck and through him fifty feet back over the collision. John had dislocated his left hip, severed his bones and tendons in his right wrist, broke numerous ribs and had severe swelling in his head. He was pronounced DOA on the way to the hospital and the doctors worked on John for an hour before calling him and as the nurse tagged his toe he awoke.
While in a coma for the next few weeks the Doctors told John’s parents that if he were to even have somewhat of a recovery he would most likely not be able to walk, talk, or sing again and would have severe brain damage. Well, 19 years later you would never know John was on his death bed and what a life changing experience it was for him. Since then, John has given his life completely to the one who gave him his Powerhouse voice in the first place…Jesus, something his mother had been praying for, for years.
Since then, John has sung at numerous churches sharing his life changing events as a soloist and with “For The Master Quartet”, as their Tenor in Nebraska singing at many events and Churches. John has sung with Southern Gospel’s great, Michael English in concert in 2006 and recently moved to Middle Tennessee, in 2007, with his wonderful family. Presently, John is looking a financial backer, so he can shine his powerful vocals and share his wonderful testimony of how God’s grace and mercy worked miracles in both John’s life as well as it has changed thousands of youth and adults alike in understanding that God is truly the one in control of everything we do and that NOTHING...NOTHING, is too Big for God! Now, John is very open, honest, and sometimes taken as being straight to the point or blunt, for what it The Biblical Truth. He quotes; "If I made you think about it and what I said hurt your feelings because it's the truth, then you needed to hear it...however, it does not mean that I don't love you, it simply means that I care enough to tell you the truth".
For any up and coming group, each new event and concert brings the hope of making an impact on the life of every person who hears their testimony that a group or individual brings to each service. Before the music is played or the first lyric has been sung, the dedication and commitment to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit is always at the forefront.
John McCall is creating his own niche in Christian Music. He has performed in front of thousands and yet he is just as comfortable telling his story of hope, grace, and trials we Christians face on a day to day basis, and singing in rural churches all across America. Worldwide, John has touched the hearts of many. The diversity that John brings makes him a huge favorite with the youth and also creates a demand for him with The Gaither crowd as well. His ability to adapt to any setting, without compromising his morals and Gods Truth, makes John McCall a favorite wherever he sings.
Until April 8th, 2008, John McCall was the full time Tenor with The World Famous and Legendary STAMPS QUARTET, who will be celebrating their 85th Year singing Gospel Music in 2009. They are in The Gospel Music Hall of Fame and are one of the longest lasting Gospel Quartets in the industry with many, many accomplishments including singing backup for the one and only Elvis from 1971-1977 when Elvis went home to be with the Lord.
John quotes; "What an honor to be with such a great group. Mr. Ed Enoch was such a great person to work with! John loves both the younger and older crowds alike, and remembers when his mother would take him to all night sings at church. His Love for music, touching the hearts of people in all walks of life, and in all age groups... is John's passion in life. He just loves everyone and there is no doubt that John Loves his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
John’s calling is to be a fisher of man, and he can deliver a message through song, that puts him in the top one percent of many great artists. He will surely be one to remember and watch for in years to come.
John is married to his wonderful wife, Kimberly, and has had five beautiful children with her that have already started to enjoy singing and quotes; “There is nothing better in this life than having a family, singing for God, and being able to share His love with them and thousands of fans Worldwide. I wouldn’t trade that for anything because it is for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.

Although he Loves Ed like an older brother and John will miss singing with The Stamps, He felt that is was time to move on. John wishes the new group all the very best and he will continue to pray for Ed and all he and the Stamps do as Men of God. Wow, I knew it was you glad to see you placed all your talent in music. I think the last time I saw you was Sophmore year! Timothy and I are happy, both in the Army and getting ready to go to school in VA for 6mos. then we are moving to HI which I can't wait please keep in touch.
