Hi-ya im JOHN the third cog in the CHAOS ILLUMINATION lightshow wheel, doing a psychedelic lightshow for HAWKWIND , and a few other bands ,it all started out in the early 80's really when a local band called Thunderchilde / Stateline needed a driver/roadie type of person, so me n a mate called Andy Voluntered our services, spent about 8 years playing every little dive n club in the midlands/Yorkshire/ south Wales area, show time job back then was doing the sound which consisted of a vocal P.A and backline mix, not ideal but able to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear most of the time,spent many hours in the back of a travelling Luton van wedged between flight cases trying to sleep hehe,Wolf one of the founding members of these bands can be found in my friends under ENGINE of EXCESS
around 89 i decided i needed a real job so set out to be a Heating Engineer, and forget about long sleepless nights, pampering egos,endless miles of motorway and that was that untill one day my good Friends Neil and Marie, decided to, instead of just giving me lifts to Hawkwind gigs , and me n neil would go off and enjoy ourselfs whilst Marie did the Tshirt stall, That theyd start doing the lightshow, well i managed to resist untill one day i found myself unloading flight cases outta vans and stepping over cables, that i realized they'd finally got me n the rest has they say is history, and now well ive mastered the Avolites Pearl lighting desk, what a great toy hehe, still work fulltime in the heating and plumbing industry, and spend my spare time dedicated to the lightshow,and my love of bikes
