Music
I've really been enjoying the following bands lately:
The New Pornographers, This one song by Full Blown Rose, The Bakers, Dungen Alphaville I'm really intrigued by the Shiela Nicholls The Fire Theft The Polyphonic Spree Tiffany, of all people (I had a smooching dream about her when I was 12) Hem Nick Henry (of Leeds) Ben Folds Mates of State and tons more. This list was random.
Movies
GRINDHOUSE is the coolest effing movie I have ever seen. Everything else is a pale, flimsy attempt. Except for the following, which are still only barely as cool as GRINDHOUSE: The Triplets of Belleville X-Men, The Last Stand Danny Deckchair I Love Huckabees Amandla, a revolution in four-part harmony My Life On Ice The Devil You Know (a documentary on SPAWN creator Todd McFarlane) Cannibal, the Musical (Trey Parker and Matt Stone's student film) That's all I can think of right now. Go see GRINDHOUSE right now.
Television
Kind of moot, now, huh, since all the writers are still striking. Not that I mind, anyway. Reading is better and the writers deserve better compensation. So while we're forced to do something less lazy than ogle pixels, we can maybe try research or calling grandma and asking about the depression. Perhaps we should all try our hand at writing. I am.
Books
Harry Potter, Preacher (a comic book series), Grant Morrison, Rings trilogy, Doug TenNapel, Stupid Sock Creatures, Tristan Egolf, Agatha Christie, Thomas A Kempis (this man had it figured out), all that stuff that got omitted from the Bible, Aaron McGruder, Stuff like that.
Heroes
Sy Rogers, John Knox, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Ms. Carl Clark, David Choe, Sonny Kay, Doug TenNapel, Stephanie McKendrick

Okay, Myspace, we need a "Field" designation for plush toys so I can plug my Stupid Creatures. They're sort of fashion related 'cause they're made from socks. Visit www.stupidcreatures.com for the digs.

I'm trying to keep my connections as sincere as possible. Know what I mean? I'll do my best to write you back. To those I've offended by my silence, DEAL! I'll try to contact you soon.
Thanks for the add its been great! And your right the amazing things that people say and react to these guys made of socks, is very cool. Thanks for the inspiration, and creating the book , and world of Stupid Sock Creatures , where Tj's Imaginary Friends resides just far enough down the street that they are not bothersome.
Hey John- Can I tell you how I am scouring the world now for socks....its sad but true I am now up to "imaginary friend" number seven. I can not beleive the response everyone has fallen inlove with them. Have a good weekend.
john.... i have to say that woodcarving is an amazing obsession. it can get pretty spendy...but if you keep the tools to the basics, it is sooooo much fun. thanks for the comments man... you know how i love your work. Did you look at the slide show i did of Tavnia? Her and Purple and best friends. They got a new friend this year at Christmas..."Blue", he rides on Purple's ear. he is kinda camera shy, so there isn't any pixurs up yet of him. tee hee
Plans just changed and I will be in Atlanta instead that Thursday & Friday. It will be an order for my two year old niece, though I will keep in mind that you take donations "for the cause". Where should I send the little box o' socks and how many monies to send? Yeah! I'm getting giddy thinking about it!
