Hello. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the raw demos of some of my tunes. As far as an autobiography is concerned.... ....It's like this:
I got a bass guitar on my 15th birthday. My life was forever changed. Instead of following my boyhood dream of becoming a lawyer, or arcitect, or fireman, or major-league baseball player, or whatever it was on any given day in the eighties, I began my journey as a son of Cain. (Whatever.. don't write your bio at 3am). I used to lock myself away in my bedroom and practice along to albums, and cassette tapes, and eventually cd's for hours. Then I got accepted to College as a jazz studies major. That's actually pretty funny considering that my favorite bands at the time were the police, alice in chains, and nirvana. However, I learned a lot about music. So much so at the time that my head still hurts a little when I think about chord extentions. Or does my head still hurt from all the partying that went on. hmmm... ...the early nineties are a little hazy in my memory. Oh yeah, I got to see the world with the Jazz ensemble. I never thought that when I got my bass that it would take me to places like Japan, Brazil, and all over Europe. In fact, my bass is sort of indirectly responsible for me meeting a lot of people and traveling a lot. Why doesn't everyone play bass or at least... ... ukelele? Anyway, since school, I've been playing around the Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. area, professionally for about ten years in various groups. I don't play jazz that much anymore, but I wish I did. When it comes down to it, the music that has always really moved me is modern or alternative rock. Somewhere in there I found my singing voice and started a band with my friend Mark called Double-Wide Joyride. We cover a lot stuff including: the police, U2, Radiohead, Coldplay, the beatles, and prince, etc. I am also a bass teacher at the Baltimore school of Rock music.
Of course you've conversated with me...I'm kinda all awesome and stuff!!
