Supporting Independent Irish Music with Downloadmusic.ie Already its recruiting the best names on its bill, and artists are also releasing Cd’s DVD’s and selling tickets to their gigs, solely from downloadmusic.ie as its such a great platform. ( Non Compulsory of course* )
In a nut shell-it has the best to offer in terms of easy accessibility and top of the range technology that allows the user and fan to upload, sell and purchase music. While also using the new multiple upload, you can also get your fans to buy a single from their mobile phone. So you can say things like "get yer phones out!” at a gig “and buy the next tune I’m about to play.” and the bonus is it all goes to towards the charts and straight into your pockets.
We are in a new age of Digital Music. But it is not something to be frowned upon or worried about, now is the time where Independents can "control their own career" and gear towards getting signed by Major labels by building their fan base and selling units that most Major labels request now before they sign an artist. Or if you want to solely do it alone, you can.
* IRMA recognise all sales and add them to the overall chart count as part of the Monthly Irish Charts.

TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare;
Sea, country and works scent the air;
A multitude of monuments,
Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls;
The remnants of defensive walls;
Historic buildings are a gauge
Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields;
Estuaries guarded by shields;
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes;
Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees,
Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries,
And crossed by practical delights -
Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham;
Football kits ad infinitum;
Kept castles - one for study;
Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way,
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

Amazon sales the CD with out the 20 page BOOKLET for $19.99. Our friends can get the CD with the 20 page Booklet from us for $14.99 there was a very limited 1St. Production 1000 copies. 100 are set aside for myspace friends. At the present we have 64 copies left for MySpace.
