Johnny Incognito was originally a character in a short story that never got written by Big Ugly Jim. When BUJ, Shakes, Dongo, and two ex-members began jamming in something like 2000, they took the name as their own. The band started slowly, mostly playing with indie rock and metal acts, and recorded a 9 minute long five-track EP called The S.T.D. before the two aforementioned bastards left the band for reasons of busy family lives and BUJ being a massive asshole. A brief pause ensued while the right bass player was sought after. Ethyl was the perfect choice to round out the band, and things have been moving ever since. 2005 saw the release of the first full length CD, a 15-track effort called Rotten Dreams. In 2006, the band released their latest album, a full length split CD with The Broken Soldiers entitled Kissing Cousins.
Tragically, the band decided that enough was enough and after something like eight years playing together, decided to part ways. The final show will be the 17th of May 2008 at the Palomino, and hopefully some of you can make the show. New bands will be emerging like Phoenix rising from the ashes.
Ya, it's pretty nice out here. Don't really want to live out here for a long period of time tho, locals are kind of rude. I have at least a year or two then I'm definatly off to see somewhere else.
Been in Alberta a couple weeks now and really just want to sleeep in my own bed. Hanging around all this death is starting to wear on me. I have had a couple epifanies tho. I've got lots to work on when I get back into the studio.
For all the friends and fans of these great bands, if you are in Edmonton, then get your asses out to this show. SO here is the poster, timings and cost..SO all you people out there come see one of the first punk hardcore bands to grace the stage after a 20 yr absent from the stage.
