Hmmm, DJ'ing, clubbing, riding motorcycles, cars, collecting guns, shooting guns at the range, buying records, everyone says travelling so i won't say that, photography. I enjoy cigars and have a small collection of them. You'll find me drinking anything from Heineken to Corona to Grey Goose.
Music
Oh boy, this one could go on forever! Anything Trance (progressive, uplifting, hard, euphoric, etc etc) is what really does it for me! I love anything from Hernan Cattaneo blowing up a club with some chunky progressive at 130bpm all the way to Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto blowing up a show of 10,000 people with their uplifting anthems.
I'm also a huge closet rocker as well. I love slipknot. Those guys have some crazy music and they put on a killer live show. I also like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, Korn, Alice in Chains, Living Color, Pantera, Rage against the Machine, Transplants, Beck, Coldplay.
I also enjoy Buena Vista Social Club which is some damn good cuban music.
As far as artists that I enjoy, listen to or own records by: Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Sasha, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Ferry Corsten, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Blank & Jones' old stuff, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, James Holden, Christopher Lawrence, Donald Glaude, Max Graham, Agnelli & Nelson, Hybrid, Prodigy, Chicane, Tall Paul, Dousk, Underworld, Josh Wink, Thrillseekers, Junkie XL, Deepsky, Way Out West, Dave Ralph, Kosmas Epsilon, Kyau vs. Albert, L-vee, Ronski Speed, SolarStone, John Askew, Steve Porter to name a few. I'm going to stop with that right now but I promise there are hundreds more...
Movies
BLOCKBUSTER.COM RULES! Hmm thats sad. I own a lot of DVD's but don't really go out to the movies. Not sure why.
Television
The Office is hands down the best show on TV. I dig all the nature programs on HD channels too.. I'm always checkin out ESPN and any live sports games. The history channel and learning channel both kick ass. Anthony Bourdain's show on the travel channel called "No Reservations" rocks too! The Deadliest Catch kicks ass.
Books
"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Best book I've ever read.

..
I'm going to be changing this soon.
Well lets see, I'm a Trance DJ. Pretty boring huh! Long story short, music is my life. Electronic music gives me a feeling that no other music can duplicate. It can literally erase a bad day, bring a smile to my face and then provide inspiration to push myself further as a DJ. I've been also spending a lot of time in the studio getting ready to take that next step into producing.
As far as DJ'ing, I've played up and down the Western US, over on the East Coast in New York and in Canada as well on a show called 'Select' on MTV Canada which aired to over 2,000,000 households. The show was sorta like TRL down here in the states.
I have been a resident DJ for the last 3+ years at Seattle's top electronic nightclub, The Last Supper Club. I'm also a resident on c89.5fm where I do a special 2 hour show called "The Sound of Trance" on the last Friday night/Saturday morning of every month at 2:00am-3:00am.
I have a new podcast called "The Sound of Trance" up on iTunes and its been in the top 15 of all music podcasts in all of iTunes which is really exciting. It's averaging over 50,000 downloads per episode. My sets are airing every day on websites and forums around the world including a regular rotation on Digitally Imported Radio. They are one of the largest Electronic Music Radio stations, averaging over 50,000 listeners a day. I'm shocked that they are still airing my trance set from 2005 on a regular basis! Time to get them a new one!
Motorcycles are another area of enjoyment. I own a "crotch rocket" if thats what you want to call it. I ride with a ton of great people here in Seattle and am sorta known as "the poser" of the group.....yes I have accepted that! haha
..
Who I'd like to meet: Someone who can make this damn myspace page look good, I have no clue what I'm doing on here! haha
I'd love to meet people who have a genuine love for music. Seeing as I spend half my life in clubs, it's always nice to find more people to go out with. Also people who are involved in production companies, record labels, other dj's etc etc. Heck even meeting a few more fellow closet rockers like me would be fun.
Hey Johnny, It was cool to meet you Nov 25th at the LSC. My wife and I love the anniversary mix you did we listened to it all the way back to Spokane after i ran the Seattle Marathon. I wish i had it in my MP3 before the race it could have helped! Anyways I hope to see ya again and dance to your mixes in the future. Paul
Hey Mr. Monsoon, I've been out of the loop for the past month, taking some time out. But I'm back now. Was just watching videos from Freaknight. I love that track you played by Dean Newton & Huggy - 747.
Hey Johnny! It was great getting to run into you at Freaknight. Like I told you there, your set was terrific and one of my faves of the evening. You really had the crowd amped near the end of your set, it sucked to see you finishing up. I came up to Julia's hotel room that morning to kick it with you guys after the show, but had to take off fairly quickly because my girl was feeling sick and needed to get home. I probably won't be back to the Seattle area until NYE, which sucks because I love everyone there, but I'm too busy these days to be going up there as much as I have been. Do you know of any good parties or shows to check out that weekend yet? Anyway, hopefully I get to run into you again sometime soon!
Johnny, I can hardly wait to see you and Darude on the 30th and at FreakNight on the 31st. Your sets are awesome! I will be driving up to Seattle from Eugene OR. That is how important your music is to me! Trance forever!!!!!!
ps props on getting that mix on di.fm, seems like pretty nice exposure brotha
