My dad who role modeled Hard Work, self discipline, emotional support, and doing the right thing !! My mom who dragged me to violin lessons, encouradged music, but insisted I go to college and get into a helping Profession. She gave me years of Love / Support / Encouragement before she Died. Yes I am a mommas boy I guess. My next door Neighbor Jim Salmon who recently died of Leukemia. His motivation -self discipline in business, his fight for life during his deathbed experience has been very inspiring as well. My wife who is not only beautiful but a great mom, hard working, highly educated starting her own Nurse Practitioner/Surgery First Assist business!!
About me: My name is Johnny Uhrig. For my day job, I am practicing Psychotherapist here in Southern California. I am also a PRODUCER/SONGWRITER: Keyboard /Piano Player, Guitar Player, (Soon to be)Syndicated Indie Rock Metal Radio Shows Program Director. International Artist Development, Publicity, Radio Promotions, Radio/TV Promotions, Radio Promo & Mngnt Services. I played a lot of music as a child - teen but chose a different career path in adulthood, spending most of my time as a Psychotherapist. I started playing Piano / Keys again in the late 90s. Played keys for short time with JOSHUA PERIAH and some other friends band. My First real role as a actual Producer was in 2006 during a time while I was starting a Artist Development - Mngt. Company (Electric Light Entertainment Group), taking on several seriously talented singers I scouted. (Franky Dee and UK's Nathan Bennett) This was the time however when Record Labels were shrinking. It was than when I accidentally fell into music production which eventually inspired me to write my own songs. The first actual songs I wrote were in 2007 on the Classic Rocker Power Balladeer FRANKY DEE’s Record (See i Tunes links at this site “I’ll NEVER STOP THINKING OF YOU” and “WHEN YOU FIND SOMEONE” or at i-tunes FRANKY DEE. Also, interesting... FRED DURST From LIMP BIZKET also recognized how great FRANKY DEE’S Vocal Talent was. Fred DURST added VOCALS on a song they Co wrote called SEXY DANCER.
CURRENT PROJECTS:
I am creating /developing my own project called GOTH LOLITA ORCHESTRA. It has a Goth Symphonic Power Metal sound. I have been producing it mainly myself until October 2009 when i realized i was running into too many technical difficulties with recording software etc.. I brought in another experienced Producer to help us complete this project. He is pretty well known in Metal Circles, his name is WALDEMAR SORCHTA. He has produced and written for the following bands, in addition many more not mentioned: LACUNA COIL, THERION, TRISTIANIA, MOONSPELL, TIAMONT). I have also been working with JACK DEVINE on guitars. ALEX MOERCH of Denmark is helping with String Arrangements. Spent time in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, & Finland this summer vacationing but also working with Alex, Terisita, and her String orchestra on some of these songs... The final decision on who will be doing lead vocals is still pending.. I have heard some great singers so far but Auditions are still open!!! We are on schedule to complete the record in December 2009.
OTHERS INCLUDE:
SABBATH FOR SODOM (Christian Symphonic Metal). Working with Brazilian Christian Music Producer/Musician Lucas Pimentel, Opera Singers, and world class classical pianist on this project; RED SEA RISING Christian Hard Rock band has been put on hold due to too many other commitments until the summer of 2010;

Besides the music, and developing Radio TV music promotional shows.. Until any music pays I's still doing my part time Day Job/ Business which includes having a Mobile Psychotherapy practice focusing on Probation / Foster Care Teenagers placed in Group Homes, Chronic Mentally Ill Drug addicted adults who are locked up in Hospitals who otherwise would be on the streets. Plus managing a Adult Day Health Care business. I am a huge fan of the NBA Clippers and the NFL Browns. Im sort of a "Wanna be" Motocross Racer and surfer too.... I also play a lot of basketball for recreation. Personally, I spend a lot of time with my family including 2 great boys ages 8 and 12. I coach their Basketball teams. Our family enjoys beach vacations. This year we did the family reunion in Trondheim Norway. Spent time w relatives and recording the orchestra in Goteburg Sweden, and a few days partying in Coppenhagen! Spent some time w some true metal rockers in Finland. It was nice to incorporate music into the trip.. Hopefully next summer it will be playing festivals there!! Both of my kids are good musicians themselves. Thank goodness for the Video Game Guitar Hero.. they now want to channel their music interest in ROCK ! Recently I came home and the first thing my my 12 year old son wanted to do was to show me how he learned the riff for Van Halen's Hot For Teacher off of YouTube!!!! This kid is becoming a shredder on guitar after playing for like w months!!!! While back we did a " Rock out the songs from your Piano Recital" recording but both of my kidss are too shy to have it out in the public or for me to play it for others. For them its all about Nickelodeon TV, Snowboarding, & Wii War type Video games. Both my boys say now they want to form a Metallica Tribute band.. :) I'm loving it!!
