Hey guys,
Welcome to myspace.
Here you will find some of my tunes, some things I've produced for other bands and a cover song here and there.
I've been producing music for about thirty years now. I really enjoy working with Artists to help bring their songs to life. ---------
I've had a few tracks played on the radio, played a few really great gigs ( the Coach House, Maddam Wongs, Bogarts), played with a few few cool bands, worked with some cool people and I really just love making music with my friends. --------
Who's playing what on these recordings? well, it's all me except where noted. ---------
"You let me down again" Dealing with disapointment is something I don't do very well, although I am getting better from LOTS of experience.
Steve Wilson really likes this song. Thanks Steve. I really like a lot of his songs. Check out Plasticsoul (One of my myspace friends) ------
"Take me down to the river" is an older song of mine that I just re-recorded a little more upbeat and twangy. Ain't love grand? --------
Suddenly Mary is from "Beautiful Escape", the Posies tribute CD I did a while back. It's a really great power pop disc, full of great covers of Posies tunes.
The Producer Alan Heaton wanted me to do an "Alt-Country" style Posies cover. (This disc is Available at Burning Sky Records.com and Amazon.com) That's Bob Schultz of "Trainwreck" on backing vocal. Thanks Bobby! --------
--------And you'll find a song of mine called "Everything is broken".
My mixing board, car, bass amp, computer, camera, keyboard ... it's all broken! -------
"She's gone" ...a newer song from me. Gotta love this economy!------
There was a lot of speculation about who "Crazy Mary" is. She's a gal I met at a really "interesting" sub-gig I played a while back.
--------Also, come check out "Acoustic Sideshow" my "Unplugged" cover band.
We do a wide variety of tunes from the 50's to the 90's. From Johnny Cash to the Beatles, Sheryl Crow and everything in between.
We just did a show for the city of Claremont and Rocked the House! ------
And I just added a montage of some of the cover songs I do, I'm playing everything on these tracks too. -------
Take care - jp
Cool cover of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"! You have the alt-country thing so down. I am coming for you first when we do the Burning Sky Records Whiskeytown Tribute...
Wow man! You are on a roll. The last few new songs of yours that I've heard have been excellent. Everything Is Broken is certainly no exception. You really need to put all your songs together on a CD - at least make one for me!
I'm looking forward to making music with you again brutha.
