John Partridge was born in Bury, England on July 24, 1971. He trained as a ballet dancer at The Royal Ballet Lower School, and then went on to train at the Bush Davies School of Performing Arts and Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts. He left college early to join Andrew Lloyd Webber's original UK touring cast of CATS. He was dance captain from 1988-1990. He appeared in the role of Rum Tum Tugger in the 1998 movie of CATS. John's othe theatre credits include Roger in the original German cast of RENT, Marilyn in Taboo, as well as Grease, Starlight Express, Miss Saigon, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Notre-Dame De' Paris. He can currently be seen on the British soap opera, EastEnders, as Christian Clarke.
