After singing and playing keyboards in Roots of Rebellion, I began serious work on my solo material, an alternative-pop-rock blend that borrows elements from the likes of Kenna, Thom Yorke, and Maroon 5. I'm almost finished with about an album's worth of instrumental tracks. Vocals will be the next step. To hear the sounds of progress, please visit http://maybebomb.com .
yo masta P, I had the urge to rock out to your wonderment and it has been glorious. I got about 40 tracks of yours now, and I can put them on shuffle and enjoy them as I work! The stuff is so good now. I hope you're still considering playing live!
I am booking a show in New York City in November and I am interested in putting your band in the show. Please email me back with the telephone number (with area code) of who to contact in your band.
1. You can hear 25 voices behind you and know exactly which one belongs to the child out of line.
2. You get a secret thrill out of laminating something.
3. You walk into a store and hear the words "It's Ms./Mr._____" ...and know you have been spotted.
4. You have 25 people that accidentally call you Mom/Dad at one time or another.
5. You can eat a multi-course meal in under twenty-five minutes.
6. You've trained yourself to go to the bathroom at two distinct times of the day: lunch and prep period.
7. You start saving other people's trash, because most likely, you can use that toilet paper tube or plastic butter tub for something in the classroom.
8. You believe the teacher's lounge should be equipped with a margarita machine.
9. You want to slap the next person who says "Must be nice to work 7 to 3 and have summers off."
10. You believe chocolate is a food group.
11. You can tell if it's a full moon without ever looking outside.
12. You believe that unspeakable evils will befall you if anyone says "Boy, the kids sure are mellow today."
13. You feel the urge to talk to strange children and correct their behavior when you are out in public.
14. You believe in aerial spraying of Ritalin.
15. You think caffeine should be available in intravenous form.
16. You spend more money on school stuff than you do on your own children.
17. You can't pass the school supply aisle without getting at least five items!
18. You ask your friend if the left hand turn he just made was a 'good choice or a bad choice.'
19. You find true beauty in a can full of perfectly sharpened pencils.
hey john! schools almost out.. you know what that means? we've got to get together soon! on a side note, i have some extra nin tickets if you know anyone who is interested. one is for GA, the other three are seats on the floor.
i'm on the floor cause i'm old school like that. i moved back to wayne a few months ago, we should get together for drinks sometime and chat. i haven't seen you in forever (whenever the last roots show was?) i'm sure we both have stories to tell.
btw man, I dig the new direction. Your new stuff is veryyy different from what I think the past held. Club beats man, thats cool, I think your transitions have improved a hell of a lot!! I noticed that in all 3 i listened to so far (top 3). I know when i take a new musical direction, its because of an influence. Has someone/band come to the surface to lead you this way?
yo man, i'm gonna be home this weekend (4/12,4/13) are you available for some music making? The semester is almost over here, i got a month left. I'm really feeling working on some stuff with you if you're down. How you been? Hope all the life things are goin as they should man.
