John Scott Schultz was raised in Missoula, Montana, where a guitar bit him when he was 11. John spent the 70s and 80s carving a life out of the west as a touring musician, opening for David Grisman, Duke Robillard, the Oak Ridge Boys and Bob Margolin, among others.
Currently living in Grand Junction, Colorado, John is a psychotherapist by day and a musician by night. His new CD, Not To Worry, was released in October 2007. John describes the 14 original songs "as drinking coffee with Bob Dylan in Merle Haggard's truck, James Brown riding shotgun, Elvis at the wheel." (Grand Junction Free Press)
As in life, so in art, Not To Worry is half electric, half acoustic, which seems to satisfy the muses.
A multi-instrumentalist, John plays and writes songs incessantly, watching out for moments of random inspiration that he crafts into songs "spanning the galaxy of John's witful mind." (Grand Junction Daily Sentinel) He is rarely seen more than 10 inches from a guitar. Not to Worry is available at CDBaby.com and www.digstation.com.
