John sings from the bottom of his soul, and from the sole of his shoes.

"John sings from the sole," wrote a particularly inept student music journalist, after I had played an open mic night at Uni. Whether he was just pitiful with spelling or had meant that I had a talent of using fish as a musical aid, I decided to twist his words around.

What he meant to say, I paraphrased, was: "John sings from the bottom of his soul, and from the sole of his shoes".

It’s the nicest thing anyone’s never said.

The debut EP, ’The King and Queen of Metaphor’ will be available as soon as one or two things have been resolved. Patience!
