Hi everyone, I'm Tom Smith, the writer/director/animator/whatever of the cartoon "Johnsonerson". As you may or may not have heard, the concept is currently being developed into a series for UATV. Because of this, all pre-existing Johnsonerson cartoons have been removed from the Internet. Don't worry though, as the new episodes will begin streaming online after they air on TV.
To hold you over until the time comes, here's a short teaser of what to expect this year.
and...
Here's what the intro looks like!
I recently premiered a shortened version of Episode 3 at The Loft's First Friday Shorts competition, and it won first! The reviews should be in soon, and if they're complimentary, I'll put 'em up here. A big thanks to everybody who came out the The Loft that night!
Who I'd like to meet: If you'd like to help make an episode, I can probably find some kind of use for you talents.
I also love hearing from fans of the cartoons. Let me know what you liked, what you didn't like, and what you want to see in the future! I'll let you know if I ever get around to making a proper DVD.
Thanks alot man. Yeah, I struggled really hard with that part. The application said that the photos didn't have to have a narrative, but I felt like mine needed one.
By the way, I got the official number. 27 applications this year. That means roughly ten people will get the axe. And soon all the photos will be available on the server.
It's the opposite for me. I'm almost done with the photos but I haven't really started the essays yet. I'm having a hard time coming up with three possible film ideas.
I'm sort of tweaking the colors and some of the lighting, but Prof. Mulcahey said to keep post-processing to a minimum. Have you begun to work on yours?
It'll be ok. I have many shows. Soon we'll have a meeting and I'll reveal the music I've been doing for you. Nicole has heard it and says you'll love it.
Hey, I sent you the script. I didn't proof read and I wrote it at 5 am. So it may suck. But I did throw some good bug puns in. I also made the janitor a native american because i didn't know what to write for a greek fella.
Well, I just now got your message now that I'm in Atlanta. I'll check out that storyline. I got ot see Indiana Jones. All was awesome until they actually showed an alien. George Lucas needs an alien enima. I'll give you a call when I'm back in PHX. I'm going to try and get a job stapling things at cartoon network/adult swim.
Well it's been some time since The One Fingered Gloves have been working. Just popping by to see how it's going. I hope you recovered from that stolen laptop!
Upload your film at www.microfilmes.sapo.pt until the 14th of November. The Festival will take place on the 1st and 2nd of December at Cinema S. Jorge in Lisbon and on the 8th at Passos Manuel Theatre in Oporto.
