So happy and thankful that I was introduced to you. Maybe Nadia and I will start something here in Hawaii and draw on inspiration from you! You're doing a world of good for your community. Everyone can make a difference.

Just had the most delicious plate of roasted okra from JBF! Simply olive oiled, salted, & peppered, broiled at 500 degrees for 10-15 mins. So yummy, healthy, & not at all what one might expect from okra if all you've had is the braised or battered & deep-fried kind.

Another tip: Green Bags (those things you've seen in the cheesy ads on TV). I've been making my bi-weekly shares last a full two wks with no problems by just following the directions on the Green Bags box. The veggies stay firm & fresh for quite a long time. Honestly, some of the okra I just ate was 3 wks old, and it was as crisp & tender as when I brought it home. The key is to check the bags every couple of days and absorb/remove any moisture that may have accumulated.

Thanks for all you do, JBF!
