Bio
A young man becomes overpowered with lyrical finesse as he escapes his own hostilities. Influenced by the embattled lyricism from some of hip-hop's greatest storytellers such as: Notorious BIG, Jay-Z, Nas, Method Man and many others, he began to personify truths. Filling pages with picturesque motifs was just the start of what he would now know as his undying relationship with hip-hop. To solidify his forefront in the rap game as one of Brooklyn's best emcees, he did as they would and create a stage for himself and his gift for music. He was given the name John Sportin by a neighborhood producer who paid attention to his very young artistry. With countless hours of writing and pouring out his inner ambitions, John Sportin, began to exude unfeigned works. "I'm different from any other rapper in the game because I speak about things that I believe in," he says. "I talk about things that I have experienced and things that I believe people should know. I try to talk about realistic things, and I speak the truth about everything--no matter if it makes me look good or bad." This created a distinction amongst peers who would also admire hip-hop. John Sportin began establishing his career in hip-hop after winning Whose Next? NYC HOT 97.1/LRG/Duck Down Records MC Competition and later, Sirius XM Radio MC Competition. From there, the buzz for his music landed him for award nominations : both Underground Music Awards #1 Underground Contender and Best Male Rapper and East Coast Hip-Hop Awards' Best Male Rapper. Sportin's collective works have been recognized in credible national and international urban publications: Hip-Hop DX, Hip-Hop Weekly, Rago Magazine and Yo!Raps, just to name a few. Sportin is currently working on his first album with a couple of big name producers; he has a catalog of over 200 songs with collaborations with artist such as Kevin Lyttle, Joell Ortiz, Vein and H2O. John Sportin's lyrical reality is the epitome of eclectic conscious emceeing. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. ...... ...... .. .. ...... ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... Brooklyn, New York has been the birthplace of some of hip hop's most gifted and innovative MC's of our era. Yet none have been as prolific as Brooklyn's newest young hit maker: John Sportin. This talented rhyme slinger is already on the path to being placed in Brooklyn's rap hall of fame his objective with his music is to become known as one of the greatest MC's not for what he does but how he does it. .. .. .. he became fascinated with the rap game at the age of eleven. He was a slightly hostile kid whose hostility sometimes would lead to him getting into fights. With the encouragement of his fifth grade teacher, young Errol began to write down his feelings in order to release his anger, this began his journey towards rap.He had such a love for music that he began to write songs using these words. It was during this time that he performed his first rap in front of his entire elementary school. This catapulted his desire to become a rapper as he began writing more songs about his life and how he was feeling. .. .. .. John Sportin, a name that was given to him by a well known neighborhood producer.John Sportin began to hone his craft and set out to differentiate himself from other rappers. "I'm different from any other rapper in the game because I speak about things that I believe in," he says. "I talk about things that I have experienced and things that I believe people should know. I try to talk about realistic things, and I speak the truth about everything--no matter if it makes me look good or bad." .. .. .. John Sportin credits the likes of Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Method Man, Bob Marley, Eminem, and Dr. Dre as some of his musical inspirations.??Working with the kids of his neighborhood in Brownsville, Brooklyn, he helps them do as he once did as a child and vent through music he hopes to one day become an inspiration to them the same as his inspirations have been to him. Sportin is currently working on his first album with a couple of big name producers; he has a catalog of over 200 songs with collaborations with artist such as Kevin Lyttle, Joel Ortiz, Vein and H2O. With his smooth flow, killer delivery, and clever rhymes, John Sportin will not just be adding to the list of successful New York rappers. He will be named as one of the greatest and accomplished what he set in his heart out to do. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. ...... .. .. .. .... .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ............ .................. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .................. ........ ............ -
