ginger bread cookies and little milk cartons, preschool and vast playgrounds in long beach, california, smog warnings and a gold ford pinto, the clay-animation "david and goliath" and "gumby", speed racer, sneaking hot wheels to school, that innocent take-it-as-it-is feeling, you remember? campfire songs, home on the range, singing in groups, ufos all of a sudden spread out like locusts in the biosphere (holy shit!).... that whole hope of being young or close to death....the simplicity of life and death, passing over, ghost life, watching as an invisible eye, loneliness and holding on, and letting go, traveling the starscape.
