John Tartaglia was born in Maple Shade, NJ in February 1978. John grew up knowing that he was going to be in the show business and has even joked about "performing since he was a fetus - where other babies were content with passive kicking, John would Kick, Shuffle, Turnstep followed by four Hop Turns and an A-Step for good measure."
He is now an accomplished actor, dancer, singer and well-known "Muppeteer" and currently stars in a show on Disney Playhouse called "Johnny and the Sprites" which he also created. He has also done work for several other shows including Jo Jo's Circus, Big Ben, and Bear and the Big Blue House.
John started doing work part time as a puppeteer for Sesame Street at the age of 16 as one of their youngest puppeteers ever and worked full time for them at the age of 18 shortly after graduating from Upper Dublin HS in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. He worked there for 11 years.
John's fame kicked off from his roles of Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q on Broadway, for which he has also won several awards. Other theatre productions include Neussical The Musical: 2006 Edition and Hair.

More specifically my name is Meltd0wn, I recently took over control of this great profile in an effort to keep it running and up to date. I run the top Muppets group and the "Johnny and the Sprites" group here on MySpace. Perhaps someday John will have a break in his busy schedule and get a chance stop by and see this. But until then, I cannot answer any personal questions (like whether he'll make it to the reunion this year or not, as several have asked me already.) I also have no way of getting in contact with him so I am unable to forward any messages to him.
