Hanna's Cafe in the Old City won Best Dance Club 2008 as voted by the readers of Metro Pulse. A sincere thank you to everyone who voted for us.

Coupla thangs.

1. Hanna's Weekends are still the greatest party in town. If you haven't checked em out in a while, its time.

2. Hanna's Thursday nights are getting huge. Retroholics this week (April 17th), Blissontap May 1st.

3. Hanna's Wednesday are Hot Import Nights. $2.00 Imports all night long. We are in the process of finding the best cover bands in Knoxville to play our Wednesday nights. Stay tuned (check our calendar on our main page) for more info.

4. Hanna's Tuesday nights are most certainly the place to be. Scott Ludwig will be performing an acoustic show every Tuesday night (on the Patio weather permitting, inside if not.) No cover. $1.50 Domestic Bottles and $3.00 Well Drinks.

Hey there, how y'all doing up there? Been a while & I've been lazy about MySpace and away again, heh.

Nope, I still haven't made it further east than Nashville yet (and that was almost a year ago) but I really do aim to get up to Knox County this year, I am waaaaaay overdue & still planning to land there permanently eventually, probably be another couple or three years tho.

Don't reckon you've been down here for any reason? You remember our conversation about a year or so ago about the disintegration of Midtown, etc.? Suddenly in the last year, it's experiencing a makeover of sorts and all this new nice stuff has sprung up. It's really just Union Avenue tho, drive that block to where your old house is and just, ugh. I can hardly bear to go in the Big Pig on Madison anymore, it's probably worse than the Kroger on Cleveland used to be way back when.

Well, that's my annual Mempho update, I guess! I hope to get back to the Blab eventually, there just never seems to be enough time ever, sigh.
