Television host, recording artist, music director and syndicated radio show host - John Tesh has explored and succeeded in all of these facets of the entertainment industry. In a remarkably successful career that now spans more than 25 years, Tesh is known worldwide as a leading and respected figure in the entertainment and broadcasting industries. If you follow his career, it becomes obvious that music has always been Teshs main passion. In 1996, after 10 years as co-host of Entertainment Tonight, he surprised many by leaving the highly visible position to pursue his career as a fulltime musician.
Three of Teshs most recent releases, A Deeper Faith, Christmas Worship and Power of Love all resided on the Billboard Pop and Christian Music charts. Power of Love was nominated for a 2003 Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album. Releasing A Deeper Faith 2 and his book "The Power of Prayer and Worship" last year, Tesh stepped further into a world in which he desires only to be 'useful' to others.
This past August Tesh released the family-friendly CD and DVD, Worship At Red Rocks, which is also a national television special. Teshs first live Red Rocks concert from 1993, was a best-selling and RIAA Gold-certified CD.
" Ten years ago, in a driving rain storm, with my wife and 2 month old daughter in the audience, my life changed forever at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre," comments Tesh. "The Public Television program we filmed that evening went on to become one of PBSs most successful fundraising specials ever. It also enabled me to make a giant leap out of Television and into the world of music, my first love."
Now, a decade later, Tesh has once again created an amazing project in Gods natural amphitheatre in Worship at Red Rocks. This worldwide television event features favorite praise and worship songs such as You Are Good, I Can Only Imagine, Lord Have Mercy and Above All, plus many new pieces created especially for the occasion.
Tesh has long been an advocate for the power and encouragement found in worship music. And so it's no surprise that one of Tesh's regular gigs is music director in his Sherman Oaks, Calif. church.
" When you have an 11 year old little girl in your house, you suddenly realize that you need to pick a vocation that the kid can actually share with the rest of the fifth grade class", says Tesh.
Johns entrepreneurial side also brought him to the world of radio and has made him one of the most listened-to voices on the air. The John Tesh Radio Show is heard on 220+ affiliate stations across the country. The show, for which Tesh recently won Radio Ink magazines Readers Poll for Favorite Syndicated Radio personality, is owned and distributed by The TeshMedia Group. The show airs in all dayparts, on multiple formats, and has a weekly listening audience of nearly eight million people.
Teshs radio show focuses on a concept he calls "Music and Intelligence For Your Life," providing listeners with guidance and information that they can use in their daily lives. The concept has proven so powerful that many listeners prefer listening to his show instead of watching television. "I'm at a time in my life when I want my own personal reality show to be aimed at helping others," Tesh says. "Planting seeds and encouraging people with the program and my music is a method with which I am truly comfortable. Music and Intelligence For Your Life is a safe haven for family listening. Children, men and women of all ages can gain something from the show."
With three gold albums and a career that includes six Emmys, two Grammy nominations, an Associated Press Award for investigative journalism, a Keyboard Magazine Award, several number one radio hits, three hit PBS specials and two tours as an Olympic announcer/composer, its obvious that Tesh has a drive for versatility.
Tesh lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Connie Sellecca, his eleven-year old daughter Prima and his 23 year old son, Gib.

"SHOULD"... LOVE...GOD and WE...MUST...TRUST..."HIS"...WILL FOR OUR LIVES!
The Bible says "And going a little further, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face and prayed saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me, nevertheless, not what I will [not what I desire], but as You will and desire" (Matt.26:39 AMP).
The Bible also says "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jer.29:11 AMP). Is that where the phrase "Trusting God's Purposes" came from......Hmmm?!!?
