DQ University is a tribal college near Davis, Ca. that was founded when a group of NDNs jumped the fence of an abandoned military base in 1970 and reclaimed the land as allowed by a treaty . On the nearly 650 acres of land they built a University. DQ U is a, one of a kind place of education, bridging the gap between native spiritual and cultural and oral tradition schools with Califonia accredited standards. Providing all peoples with a rounded historical/cultural education to receive an Associates degree and proper grounding and credits for transfer to all other accredited 4 year universities for higher degrees.
DQ U has been struggling to maintain its strength as a university as well as its accreditation and is at at a tough time in the schools history. The University's students have reclaimed the land and university once again and have been sweeping clean the old policies of administrations and have legally ousted the older administration and been since been placing new people on the board of trustees and administrators and are hiring a new president.
So the students resistance is what I support and the struggle to keep the land in the hands of NDNs and not have the control of the land lost for any reasons. I personally would like to see a greenway of reclaimed land stretching from DQ in the West all the way across to Pine Ridge South Dakota.

This is Josh my other nephew (joeys brother) he is the former original greatest drummer of Coheed and Cambria. He also is the original drummer of THREE . Now he is focused on his hip hop gig WEERD SCIENCE. This is the first video they did . They produced in at the old IBM plant in Kingston NY the place where my father (his grandfather) worked for 33 years. The IBM plant is shut down now, I wrote a song about it called PhD. My dad Wayland in the late 50's early 60's went to his boss at IBM and said, "Hey I have an idea to use a typerwriter keyboard to input data into computers!". Boss said, "Theres a team of 7 people working on that in Kentucky right now, why don't you go down there and see if you can help them." He did. and now we still use the keypad. Dad rules ! Joey has a song called Wayland, I will try to archive it and put it up here too. Wayland lives back in his hometown now, Rochester Minn. He goes and see's THREE when they come through town (minneapolis) and used to go see Coheed too. Heres the vid by weerd science at the old IBM plant!

Know Your Rights
1. Don't Leave Contraband in Plain View. Although law enforcement officers must obtain a warrant before they can conduct a privacy-invading search, any illicit material that can be plainly seen by any person from a non-intrusive vantage point is subject to confiscation. A "roach" in the ashtray, A visible pipe or the smell of marijuana are all probable cause.
2. Never Consent. to a search. If a law enforcement officer asks for your permission to search, it is usually because there is not enough evidence to obtain a search warrant. The fact that you refuse to consent does not give the officer grounds to obtain a warrant or further detain you. If an officer asks to search you or an area belonging to you or over which you are authorized to control, you should respond: "I do not consent to any search. If you are going to question me I require a lawyer present. If I am not under arrest, I would like to leave."
3. Don't Answer Questions Without Your Attorney Present! Whether arrested or not, you should always exercise the right to remain silent. Anything you say to law enforcement officers, reporters, cell mates, or even your friends can be used as evidence against you.
4. Determine if You Can Leave. You may terminate an encounter with officers unless you are being detained under police custody or have been arrested. If you cannot tell whether you may leave, you can ask officers, "Am I under arrest or otherwise detained?" If the answer is, "No," you may leave. An officer can temporarily detain you without arresting you if he has "reasonable suspicion" that you are involved in criminal activity. Also, the officer may perform a "pat down" or "frisk" on you during the detention if he has reasonable suspicion that you are armed. However, an officer may only reach into your pockets if he pats something that feels like a weapon.
5. Do Not Be Hostile; Do Not Physically Resist. There are times when individuals politely assert their rights and refuse to consent to a search but the officers nonetheless proceed to detain, search, or arrest them. In such cases, it is important not to physically resist. Rather, you should reassert your rights as outlined in tip number two.
6. Informing on Others. The police and prosecutors often try to pressure individuals into providing information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of others. Threats and promises by police and prosecutors should be viewed with caution and skepticism. Decisions should only be made after consulting with an experienced criminal defense attorney and examining one's own conscience (uh, don’t do it!).

Well, the Slaughterhouse is demolished now, We got in almost 50 shows in the year we had the building. Now, we have been getting away with doing some shows at Burnt Ramen which has been great ! Hopefully soon we will have another new place.
We got in another 2 1/2 years at Burnt Ramen before the cops came again and shut us down during the Municiple Waste show in aug 2006. Now, we are again on a break from shows at ramen and are hoping that sometime 2007 we can start doing some shows again.
One other thing, I really am a baker.
