JOHN VIRAG is an accomplished and revered singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His rich vocals are refreshingly unique, yet seem to be somewhat of a throwback to many of the legends of the seventies and eighties. Virag plays multiple instruments including piano, trumpet, bass, and percussion. While his style is categorized as Pop/Rock, he successfully crosses over to other styles such as Jazz, World, and R&B.
Evidence Pending, Virag's sophomore release, is a sophisticated yet hip follow-up to his debut CD, Dream Reality, released in 2001. This time around, John has fully produced and recorded the album in his Sea King Productions studio and played all the supporting instruments. Guest artists include guitarist BD Lenz (solo on “Steel”) and female vocalist Dayna Steele (featured on “One Elusive Fire”).
Evidence Pending offers a variety of expressive and emotionally intense tracks, giving the entire album a dynamic sphere. Every song tells a story, from the upbeat, gritty opening track “Down” to John’s vivid and personal response to 9/11 in “Patriot”, to the beautiful, swooning final track “One Elusive Fire”. With atmospheric tunes, continued brilliance on the songwriting front, and top-notch production, this album leaves you wanting more.
In addition to being an amazing musician, John is an accomplished actor. Check out his acting chops in this film "Dead Awakenings". John played the part of Edmund King.
