John Waters nyc, is a 23 year old young trumpet player. Born and raised in eastern Queens, NY, John started playing trumpet in junior high school and continued on with his music in high school. John studied music @ the hartt school, where he had the opportunity to meet Jackie McLean, the McLean Family, teach at the Artists Collective, play in several musical groups, etc....
--While in school, John met and played and studied with established musicians including:Roger Murtha, Gabor Viragh, Valery Ponomarev, Steve Davis, Rick Rozie, Rene McLean, Melonae McLean, etc....
--In 2007, under Warner Brothers Music, Milan Records, John played and recorded with the "Landau Orchestra" recording a CD (EP/JANUS PLAYS TELEPHONE) and an iTUNES RELEASE of "PANS LABRYNITH". (Available for download on iTunes.)
--John's love for the music is in the early New Orelans/street beat/brass band style. He is currently playing in the "Hungry March Band" where he is enjoys playing, and learning.
--John loves the music of the hot 8, rebirth, michael jackson, Jackie McLean, Lee Morgan, and sooo many more inspirational amazing musicians.
---John recently went to France with Hungry March Band, where he performed at "Baule d'Airs", and "Ze Pouet". He is also playing at a jazz fest. in Sardegna Italy at the end of August/September 09.

I'm doing well, it's good to be back home, although I didn't expect to be back as early as I am, but in the end it's all good. I'm supposed to be heading out to Long Island for the day on Saturday, so maybe on my way back to Connecticut we could meet up even if only for a few minutes.
