Currently playing bass in The Mean Green Music Machine in the Tunica Casinos, private parties, and other events.
Occasionally I play a substitute or acoustic gig, which I will list here as such.
I am always available for sub gigs as a bassist, guitarist, keyboard player, or as a sound man/videographer. References available upon request.

Sounds Like
A little of everything. Band website at www.mgmm.ws
I started playing guitar at age 12, adding bass at 17. I began to sing, and played on stage with my teacher at some of his gigs. I began songwriting and recording in the early 1990's during college, and performing when I could in several local venues. My Paramedic job at the time was very demanding and kept me away from steady work in the music business. Then, I became a RN and got my life back. A couple of days a week as an RN more than covers my old Paramedic salary. Now I play as much as I can.
Since 2000, I have always had at least one gigging band, playing guitar, keys, sax, bass, and singing in many various projects.
I have contributed to studio work as a musician and engineer for many bands. I open up my studio occasionally to other musicians and began video work starting in 2005.
My latest band project, the Mean Green Music Machine, is keeping me very busy. We have had lots of Casino dates as well as private parties and club gigs. This has been my longest and steadiest gig, we have been together about 5 years.
Currently, my strongest instrument is Bass Guitar, and at times I am available for sub work in bands. I also run sound & videos (nice ones, with your mix off the board to DVD). I have also contracted for Pro Show sound in Memphis. Visit www.johnwrightmusic.net for more details.
ILLUMINATUS! 35th anniversary celebration in planning stages:
Hello, I had the pleasure of working on bringing together the comic book version of the Trilogy, which lasted 3 or 4 issues before THEY stopped it... and 2010 is the 35th anniversary of the original Trilogy's publication. I'm in touch with Shea and Wilson's heirs, and we've started planning ways of commemorating this event over the course of the next year. But we want to know what YOU want to see to celebrate... so let us know! In the meantime, here's 2 web links that should be of interest to any fan of the Trilogy:
Thanks for the accepting the friend request. Really enjoyed the music on your page. Hope to get out and listen to you and your band in the near future.
