About me: Congressman John Yarmuth currently serves Kentucky's 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is passionate about open and honest government, as well as issues involving working families and students. Since joining Congress in January of 2007, he has received much recognition for his work. He was elected President of the Freshman Class of the 110th Congress and serves as an At Large Whip for the majority party. The honors he has received include being named 2007 Legislator of the Year by the Kentucky Reading Association and "Outstanding New Member of Congress" by the Committee for Education Funding, the largest non-partisan education organization in the nation.
Congressman Yarmuth was born and raised in Louisville, graduated from Atherton High School and attended Yale University. He and his wife Cathy have been married for 25 years. Their son Aaron graduated from Indiana University in 2006.

Who I'd like to meet: From the Congressman himself: "Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Elvis."
Of course, he would also love to meet each and every one of the fine citizens of Louisville he represents. Feel free to send him a message, post a comment, or call the campaign office if you have any questions.
